lotro veterans any advice on how to find a friendly active kinship?
I think the reason I take such long brakes from lotro is bc I'm always playing by myself ;-;
you can keep an eye on world chat to see if anyone's posting kin ads, or start asking there yourself; might get mixed responses depending on time of day or who's on, but people will message you sometimes or just send invites. if someone's talking with you it's worth asking what kind of kin they have- raiding, level-locked groups, endgame, how big a kin they've got (as far as average players online at once, not necessarily total characters in kin bc that number can contain lots of alts), do they schedule group events, is there a roleplay group. usually i try to ask people what they're looking for in the specifics before inviting them bc everyone's different with what they want there
thank you so much!!
I did try searching for a kin in world chat, but my message got lost in all the discussions going on ;-; I guess I shouldn't give up so early on
and huge thanks for adding this too. cause I did feel bad for leaving a kin bc of time zone differences
I'd probably still feel bad for joining a kin and leaving it immediately if not for this tag ಥ_ಥ

Fall festival in LoTRO♥
Totally did not just read it as Merlin and questioned my entire knowledge of lotr lore
minas tirith is too confusing and I will die on this hill
don't get me wrong it looks stunning, but visiting it for the first time felt like I was having a stroke (you know those ai generated stroke images? yeah)
don't even get me started on the map. it's the worst one yet. wish you could zoom in and out, cause I was struggling (those white tier connecting paths? did not notice them until I googled the old version and they were yellow)
also the way there are so many npcs, flowers, doors that you can't open (the math is not mathing)..
all in all I'm loving the midsummer festival
I did something stupid
warden didn't fit

Boromir: one does not simply walk into Mordor-
LOTRO player character, walking through the Black Gates: lol, rip to you but I’m different <3
@naurmenel-amarnen I love my new pet thank you
screaming crying throwing up
shoutout to LOTRO for giving us a hug emote. the devs were like "we're about to make them all in love with some characters then make those characters suffer. maybe the player should be allowed to hug them at least?" and yea they were right
if u can select it you can hug it! just click on a ranger (or anyone else, but rangers especially) and type /hug in the chat bar. do it right now trust me they need it
thanks so much for explaining! now no npc is safe from my hugs >:)
np, I wasn't aware that emotes weren't common knowledge! so while I'm at it, if you press shift-c you can open the collection menu to see all emotes you can currently use and can earn! from there you can even drag them into your quickslots like any other skill and have immediate access /hug or other emotes :)
omfg I had no idea you can use them as skills. the more you know. thanks so much! it's gonna be so much easier now that I know this
