Get a grip

Okay. I’ve been sitting in the background, commenting here and there on Jikook / KM posts because I’m truly a believer in them. I don’t “ship” them as if they were two dolls to be manipulated to fit my need for a romantic story. I have seen so many interactions between JK and JM in various moments over my time of supporting BTS that led me to a conclusion that those two have a very real connection. And one that has grown over time. Like a real relationship.

Never, not once, have I taken a KM moment at a fan signing or concert at anything more than face value. They are performers and they are skilled at it. I truly believe those moments are for the fans.

It’s the smaller moments. When the boys are being themselves. The behind-the-scenes. The times when it would be incredibly easy for them to forget there’s a camera around. The glances and the small touches. The secret smiles and the catching of each others eyes. There are a bazillion of those. That need to connect with each other in some way or another.

If you’ve ever been in a long term relationship then I believe you know what I mean. These “moments” at concerts or interviews don’t prove anything but that these boys know what good PR is. The moments that matter to me are the ones I would recognize in my own 19 year marriage. The connections that come to be after being through something with someone. and they are far more grand and more substantial than a backhug displayed on an enormous screen in front of 40,000 screaming fans. It’s the hug that happens when the lights are off.
