listening to HIM and taking a shot every time ville says "my darling"
it’s not a him song if ville doesn’t say an affectionate nickname, or if he doesn’t mention the devil or whatnot
They deleted so much music from the internet archive, what is this madness…
Guess I have to download some more stuff just in case…
watching 3 vampire movies back to back cause why the hell not
I re-checked and there’s 38 movies on my watchlist, and so far I’ve only watched 3 on that list…
movie review except I just talk about the movie to my friends only and I don’t post a letterboxd or IMDB rating at all:
all I’ve got is a heart full of longing and pretentious poetry to make up for my lack of emotion….
I feel as if it’s the only way I can truly express myself genuinely.
I’m looking at my movie watch list I’ve written down, and about like 50% of the movies I’ve listed fall into the genre of ‘artsy fantasy horror’ or at least horror adjacent-
I feel like I watch a lot of films that fall into the category of horror, but I don’t really realize it since it’s not outwardly horror. And it just ends up coming off across as mildly disturbing rather than terrifying and gruesome
watching interview with the vampire with one hand down my pants, and the other a gun to my head-
finishing american psycho, then watching mean girls right afterward feels like taking cocaine then having a soda right after…
(I don’t know I’m bad at metaphors-)
I firmly believe that the join me in death music video has forever changed something in me- (also the gone with the sin music video too)
it’s absolutely beautiful, I would watch it over and over again (there’s just something magical about it, it conveys an emotion I cannot even describe)
just when I think I can’t get any more pretentious, I go on Letterboxd and I am proven wrong-
when it comes to movies, for me I feel as if they fall into the node of either: “Oh this was good I liked it!” “This is really not good,” and “It’s not the best and that’s okay, I still like it for what it is,” I also will admit, I tend to watch movies based on how it looks visually or the sort of vibe I get from it, (I’m a very visual person).
so if I like a movie but don’t particularly love the story, visuals make up for it, however there are times where that isn’t always the case.
to me I generally avoid using letterboxd, mainly because I only really share my personal favorite films with my close friends and relatives rather than putting them out for whole world to see. (also because I do get embarrassed about my own personal taste at times, and it saddens me sometimes to see people rip apart films I like. even though that is expected.)
also, I just feel as if writing down my thoughts for a movie is not as sufficient as talking about it to a friend, because heaven knows I will ramble on more when talking about a film, than if I were to write for it.
you’ve met me at a very vampiric time in my life.
no one does yearning better than vampires

I wish I could listen to all HIM songs for the first time again... ♡𖤐
