Like I've said the Fire Nation was giving me the most trouble. So it's going to have lots of variety in the inspiration.
I ended up using Goryeo fashion for inspiration - with pointed shoulders for some extra flair. Because Atla really lets different countries and dynasties live in the same nations together, I decided to not let it worry me so much if the Fire Nation has lots of different inspiration. Sort of leaning into the idea that different islands and ranks wear different fashions. While thinking about what the court would wear I started looking into Goryeo (Fire Nation hanbok at a wedding, I'm never letting it go) clothing and thought Azula would wear it well. She would of course were something more like Zuko's armor when chasing after the Gaang, but I wanted to have some fun with her Princess fashion. I'm a suck for elaborate dresses, we know this.
