A Yule Ball Spell

This is literally just a jar spell in a glass bauble, but it was super fun to do! I made this for my best friend for her Yule tree. I gathered all ingredients (except the bauble and candle, which were from the dollar store) from nature and my compost bin.

Ingredients

Glass bauble: to contain the spell

Blue spruce: spiritual refreshment

Orange peel: sunny cheerfulness

Holly spray: luck and protection

White candle wax: peace and purity

A kiss: to seal and charge

Method

Y’all I literally just chucked it all in there, but to make it witchy I lit my white candle before I began and stated my intent (I wanted this spell to grant my friend a happy Yule, since she has seasonal depression and usually associates this time of year with that). I then added my ingredients to my bauble in no particular order, shook it up until it set the way I wanted, then replaced the hook and cap and sealed it with my white candle and a kiss (once the wax was cool!). The remainder I put in my prettiest bowl and offered to my deity (Cernunnos), since he particularly likes holly and spruce.

The name itself is only attested once, on the 1st-century Pillar of the Boatmen, but he appears all over Gaul, and among the Celtiberians. Cernunnos is depicted with the antlers of a stag, sometimes carries a purse filled with coin, often seated cross-legged and often associated with animals and holding or wearing torcs, are known from over 50 examples in the Gallo-Roman period, mostly in north-eastern Gaul.

How do I activate my abilities? I've been told that I have dormant ones, and the only strong one is my intuition. Occasionally I predict what people are thinking and will say. I want to also have prophetic dreams like I did when I was little.

One thing I ever learned is: Don’t try too hard! It could eventually block yourself off from what you want: strengthening your abilities. Open up, calm down and maybe even take a step back. Surrender! It’s totally ok if your abilities don’t bloom right now. You have your whole life ahead of you, so a long time to practice as well. Don’t force it.

You already know about your intuition, that’s a big step already. Practice more with it. Trust in your intuition. Everyone has an intuitive ability, but we don’t always recognize it, and without knowing, we may use it daily. So practice! Keep a small dairy. When you receive a text or a phone call. Think about who you think it might be. Write it down and pick up the phone or read the text and see if you’re right. Over time you might see you’re growing. More ways to practice are to guess the result of every unknown situation that you daily come across. Note your guesses. This could be sports-game, or how busy is it going to be at work, etc. Keep a notebook with you the entire day and write down any random hunch feelings/forebodings or premonition, how ever you want to call it, but also thoughts about the future, and things you worry about and may happen, or why it may happen. About every unclear thought you can ask yourself: what does my intuition say about this? For your abilities I recommend meditating. If you’re not into meditating or have never done it before. Practice it and keep on practicing it. You might even consider using crystals while meditating to help you, or carry crystals through out the day (amethyst, bloodstone, carnelian, labradorite, malachite and moonstone).

Hello I have some herbal concoctions that may also help with increasing psychic abilities and prophetic dreams. As with all things you do want to be careful when working with plants and essential oils. Don’t use anything here that you may be allergic to. Do not ingest any of these recipes and be very careful when working with essential oils to not let them come in contact with your skin.

Dream Pillow

3 parts Mugwort

2 parts Bay Leaf

1 part Camphor

1 drop (undiluted) or 5 drops (diluted in distilled water) of cedarwood.

Place mixture into a hand sewn blue pouch and keep under your pillow to help give you prophetic dreams.

Psychic Powers charm bottle

Equal parts:

Arnica Flowers

Butchers Broom

Aspen

One drop each: Violet, musk, Ambergris essential oils.

Place in a bottle and keep on you or place on an altar in your home.

Incense:

Arabic gum used as an incense promotes a meditative state.

Future telling bath soak

Use a Buchu leaf tea bag (or loose leaf buchu tea in a muslin pouch.) in a bath to increase psychic intuition.

Being separated from my altar is taking a bigger toll on me then I originally though. I feel disconnected and like I have no where to turn to. Salem was much needed but the anxiety level I have been experiencing is bad. Working on some prayers, meditations and spells to help.

Drew and I have horrible luck. I keep having to make these for us, but it is what it is, because neither of us can work, we won’t find out about his SSI application status until at least February, and we don’t qualify for Food Stamps because of the SSI.

Unfortunately when it rains it pours. Everything’s under the cut to keep from stretching your dash too much.

Life, change and a retreat.

Hello lovelies Time here, Things have changed a lot, major life changes and the chaos of the retail holiday season has made taking time for anything but work and sleep neigh impossible. It is time that I realized my anxiety and depression which had been just lurking like a shadow at the back of my mind has taken this period of emotional weakness to dig its claws back into me. I feel like I have not had the proper time to practice and with my belongings in a storage locker including my altar I have felt so out of touch and like I don't belong where I am. My connection to my faith feels weak and I have been looking for ways to revitalize, re energize and cope. This brings me to my news. I was given the opportunity by one of my partners to take a short escape from reality and travel to Salem, a town that has been very important to me for many reasons for a very long time. I am taking this opportunity to dive head first back into my practice and am going to spend my time as best I can as a spiritual retreat of sorts. This coupled with Yule around the corner and hopefully being able to move in the near future things are finally looking up. Anyways rambling aside I hope you all are having a lovely day and I hope to be on here much more frequently. ~Time

Handfasting update!

With just two weeks to go we are in a flurry finalizing all the details and prepping for the big day! We are about 90% done with the handfasting cord and broom, as well as the matching cord bracelets. The Ceremony only has a few minor tweaks and we just received the first look at the pamphlets to be given out to our non pagan guests made by one of our close friends.
