This Is Not The Armory (Rowena & Duncan)
Duncan looked up when the door opened, expecting a guard with a meal or something of that nature. Since he’d been dragged off of the battlefield at Ostagar and tossed in here he had not been badly mistreated. His wounds had been treated and he was fed regularly. His meals were filling if nothing but simple fare; he suspected he ate the same thing the soldiers ate.
Loghain didn’t want him running off and telling anyone about his treachery. That much was clear. But he didn’t seem entirely willing to simply kill Duncan. Duncan knew it wasn’t because Loghain held a great deal of respect for Grey Wardens. He wasn’t sure what it all meant.
The door, though. A woman who seemed to be off put that she’d come into a cell and not the armory. He frowned at her. “No, Lady. I don’t know where the armory is. They didn’t give me the tour before they threw me into the cell.”
Rowena hmmed, “Well would you like to get out of this place? I’m sure if you come with me I could scrounge up some potions for you. Something to help you heal a little faster.” Had she been the girl of before, she might have blushed but she wasn’t her anymore.
“And a few weapons.” She still needed a bow. And a full set of arrows. Getting that and a few more knives would be helpful. “And please don’t call me lady, I haven’t been one in a very long time.” She remarked as she heard voices. Whoops they must have found the bodies.
“Call me Rowena.” She told him before shutting the main entrance to the cell block. She was going to need another way out and she took to a side door. She poked her head in to hear: “What are you doing here?” There was was only one possible reaction she had pulled a knife from her boot and threw it, it went quiet besides the bloody gurgling.
“So sir, will you be staying or will you be going?” Rowena asked after poking her head back through the doorway.
