             He was silent as he watched, waiting for her to finish               speaking. A broad grin had surfaced on his face, creating                creases in his cheeks.

             She let’s out a soft laugh, her hands coming up to cover               her face for a moment, an attempt to hide her blush.               God, she was making a fool of herself. 

                      “I...Wow this is really weird. Sorry this is just                         really weird I’m...so...”

                      “It’s so nice. I’m uhm...I’m Emily but you can                         call me Ash or Emily it doesn’t...It doesn’t matter.”

     the innocence in the action strikes him as pleasant——          he works hard to conceal a small smile that tugs at the              corners of his lips, not quite ready to reveal such simple                 windows into his thoughts to the girl just yet. arms find              their way crossed over his chest as he nods silently in          response. the last time he received a hug was literally years upon years ago, & he feels like he’s        missed them.

                “yes… hugs are nice.”

          she giggles a bit, reaching forward to give him a light            hit on his arm with a loose fist. felix was...nice to be            around. she liked talking to the boy, he was just a fun           person to talk to. ash couldn’t even place it, really. 

         “you should smile more, felix. you look less...threatening.”
