You’re feeling the need to hurt yourself?
Put down the razor. Put down the knife. Put down any tools that are harmful to you. Stop the scratching. Stop the biting. Stop whatever kind of harm you are causing to yourself.
Take a deep breath and look at yourself. You. You are beautiful/handsome.
You are perfect in the eyes of someone else, and if only you could see what they see. Its stunning how in love they are with everything about you.
You are so important to so many different people out there.
You have a place in this world.
You are of great importance to friends, family and others around.
Although you may feel the urge to hurt, it’s not only you who is being hurt. It does affect others around you. As sad as that is to imagine, it’s the reality. There are people all around you who care.
Sometimes causing yourself pain feels like a stress relief. I get that. I really, really do. But it isn’t. It doesn’t relieve stress, anger, sadness or any emotion you may be feeling. It causes a temporary fix until you realize there is no going back from it. Then guilt slips in and makes it even worse. Like you need to hurt again. But. Don’t let it become an addiction. Please.
It will only cause you more pain. Its not “beautiful” or something to showcase. Its a sign that you need to seek help immediately.
If you see someone who you think may be struggling with depression, self harm, self hate, or suicidal thoughts, offer to help. Step in to their life and help them through what ever it may be.
You could be the reason some one is alive today.
Don’t be afraid to speak up if you need help.
Don’t be afraid to seek help when you need it most.
There are people out there that love you with everything they have, and would sacrifice anything for you. They love you, we all love you, I love you.
