Just looking at the couple of these I’ve done so far, it’s cool seeing some muscle memory coming back after not branching out of digital much in so long. It feels great to do something new

Pro artist tip: If you need to draw a circle, simply reach past the compass and circle guide and into your overflowing bag of assorted Warhammer mini bases from all the models you haven’t finished

Ahhhhh, I finally got around to posting pictures of my space ork outpost. I'm using it as a background for the next posts I'll publish! It was assembled and built respecting the holy grail of Orc fortresses that perhaps some people still remember (photo of the original GW model is at the gallery's end). All the flags stolen from the stupid pink men were hand painted on aluminum foil. Enjoy the waaagh and write below your comments, a always very important to me.

Brother Obediah Callour

Painted up another little bastard.

Once a member of the esteemed first company, Brother Callour was stripped of his rank for signs of weakness. Outraged but ultimately powerless; the recently dishonored ex-vilifier takes his frustrations out on the battlefield. His most favored prey are the more diminutive forms of greenskin as their impotent cries drown out his own inadequacy.

Decided I'm gonna start using this place again to post my mini stuff.

I dug out my old Gloomspite Gitz army that I started like 4 years ago coz I was in the mood to paint some squigs, I've had a ton of fun with them and have been trying to practice and push myself some high contrast volumetrics and NMM on the armor with them, especially with the giant cave squig

What a very nice little warband to paint.I really enjoyed working on their skin.

As it's a commission I had to concentrate on certain parts more than others. I find the final result very satisfying

This is an oil painting I made last year called Hobbyshop

When I was about 9 I would go to a hobbyshop to get lessons in painting warhammer, this painting is loosely based on that period of time

The guy who taught me was an older English man with a moustache, which I thought was an interesting sort of guy to be so in to warhammer

I remember the other guy who ran the shop always pottering about, fiddling with things. I like trying to paint fingers doing delicate little actions like this, although I haven't really figured out how to do it -

here's a much better example by Sorolla. Very nice hands.

The kid in this painting ended up glowering which I didn't really intend, but I like it because I think kids sometimes look a bit moody without meaning to. I was and am like that anyway.

People do interesting things with their feet when they're sitting and I think that's fun to try and paint as well. I thought I could say a lot about a kid with a rather inscrutable facial expression through the way he places his feet. So there you are.
