A Tiger and His Boy
A realistic tiger emerging from the page holding a doll that looks very much like Calvin from “Calvin and Hobbes” comic.
How have I never seen this concept in reverse like this I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
I wish I could explain to my cat that she is an obligate carnivore
like miss girl...my supper is legumes and noodles
W H A T are you so hopefully sniffing for????
I once left a hot pastrami sandwich from subway unattended and upon return 30 seconds later found my cat Burdock digging through it. He grabbed part of it and ran off. I pursued and once I cornered him I discovered he had grabbed not a mouthful of the meat, but instead one of the pepperoncinis and was happily crunching away at it.
One of my cats adores beans in any form, but particularly favors hummus. She leaves most other human foods alone.
The other is so picky that he won't eat most treats but is convinced he wants them all. After I give him a treat he has been begging for, he chews it for a little until he lets it fall from his mouth in pieces, and then IMMEDIATELY begs for another. His sister (bean cat) faithfully eats everything he drops from his mouth.
I wish to live in Stardew Valley where the worst possible political outcome is that the governor doesn't like your soup and the scariest political figure is Mayor Lewis.
A boy can dream, can't he?
Hey, so if you have Windows 11 installed and have been losing your mind over the fact that you can't find your own files because Windows is now prioritizing internet search results first, you can fix it by following this guide:
Stop the OS from pulling up web results when you just want files and apps.
As someone with over 900 GB of intentionally and properly named files on her computer (I do a lot of digital art and digital media work that requires high-volume files that function off of dependencies), this feature was making me furious. I followed the above instructions and can confirm that the method outlined solves the problem.
I have just tried this, it works and the explanation how to do it was so user friendly and clearly laid out.
10 and 11 are also kinda secretly adding Windows Copilot to your computer when you're not looking. Even without software updates. You can follow this guide to disable Copilot
Completely disable Copilot in Windows 11 in just a few simple steps.
The guide uses a program called gpedit (group policy editor), if you can't find it on your computer, follow this guide to install/enable it, and remember to always run as administrator:
Run these commands in command prompt.
Win + Q
Search: command prompt
Right-click > Run as admin
Copy, paste, and enter these commands:
FOR %F IN ("%SystemRoot%\servicing\Packages\Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy-ClientTools-Package~*.mum") DO ( DISM /Online /NoRestart /Add-Package:"%F" )
FOR %F IN ("%SystemRoot%\servicing\Packages\Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy-ClientExtensions-Package~*.mum") DO ( DISM /Online /NoRestart /Add-Package:"%F" )
Test it by opening Win + R
Type: gpedit.msc
See if it opens

I accidentally bought a large black marker at an art store (I got the wrong size and was intending to buy a fine point pen). Honestly such a great mistake, I've been experimenting with bolder lines and graphic shadows since I had it on hand and it's been so fun.
If you're dealing with artist block, here's your reminder that switching up mediums can be inspiring! It doesn't even have to be anything expensive, maybe it's just one marker!
Criticize power, not those who are being oppressed by it.
I just realized something:
Since becoming a parent, I've been much less morose and gloomy, and its because they constantly need me for things. I know that I get a huge dopamine hit from being useful or valuable, that acting on behalf of others brought me intense satisfaction.
What I didn't know was just how important being of use to others is to me. How much of my own self worth is tied up in how useful or helpful I am to others. And I'm not 100% sure it's the best thing to have internalized, and there is likely some kind of associated childhood trauma tied to it, but a huge chunk of very foundational need is being met by just doing basic shit like cooking food and pouring juice into cups.
Likewise, showing them how to do things on their own is a very uniquely satisfying.
This is not an endorsement to have kids or adopt to solve some missing piece of your existence, just an observation that for me, personally, caring for others and being of value to them is an incredible bonus to having small creatures that destroy things live in my home.

I made this as a birthday gift for my husband. He loves cats, and is a sucker for anything cute. It took me about 6 hours, including sewing the edges to prevent fraying. This may be the boost to get me back into cross stitching.
This world has magic if you look for it. I found this paddle cactus on a hike with an amazing hole in it. It made me think of a witch's stone so I had to paint it with the magical dimension you could see by looking through it 😍

Why do laundry when you can just paint a pigeon doing his laundry instead?
Steven Universe - Art Nouveau Series by Alexa Rockman
Painted on the plane! I like how the negative space of the city looked so I'm not going to paint it. Sometimes the key to art is knowing when to stop.
Some lil pigeon studies!
