With the latest move made by Playstation I just wanna say that Kaiba would very likely buy them out and force them to continue physical copies. Definitely a team "Buying IS Owning" man. I could not in any good faith see Kaiba supporting "digital only" nonsense.

Either that or he'd start making KaibaCorp produce consoles that make digital secondary to boost the market for physical game copies, and also play any disc no matter the console it was meant for to start with. He is not letting his childhood artifacts go obsolete.

Funniest part of the YGO dub is how Yami ONLY EVER addresses Kaiba by name in the exact tone of voice you use when your dog is doing something HIGHLY illegal and you've already called their name twice and they're ignoring you and you're like I gotta put on my SERIOUS VOICE now

Kaiba just stares at him. How was he here? Had the voice in the wind been a warning? Was he…going to stay this time? Roland sits on his knees beside the couch and opens the first aid kit, beginning to pluck thorns from Atem with the tweezers. “Seto…I think you should call Yugi. He’d want to see him. They all would.” “I…yes.” Kaiba fumbles into his pocket for his phone, thumb trembling as he scrolls his contacts for Yugi’s number, the words on the screen blurry to him. So much was happening that he couldn’t process at all. Finally, his thumb lands on “🦐 (Yugi)” and he taps the bright green phone button beneath it. The dialtone is just a buzz in his ear as he waits for the click of a pickup. His mind is still tunneled onto the Pharaoh in front of him. Then comes the click. “What’s up, Kaiba?”
