Hi! I know this seems so out of the blue, but I'm really at my wits end here. Do you know any scifi books that have alien romances? Either a human×alien or alien×alien kind. And books that focuse entirely on aliens only and no humans? Sorry again about this but I'm in a mass effect hype and I'm just really surprised that it's the only media that allows you to romance aliens. I read your book review on Space Opera so I'm just really curious if you do. Thank you again, signed by a really bored scifi fan.

i do really recommend glumshoe’s ongoing Space Emperor story! i know you were probably looking for published books but if you’re open to original fic online, it’s very fun. check out @space-emperor for shit posts n stuff about it. it reminds me of Space Opera in some ways! They both just have a lot of fun

anyway if we’re lucky someone who actually knows stuff will see this post and drop some recs!

I’m at my breaking point.

Guys, please help me get out of my horrible hell that is unfortunately my prison (home). My mother is getting gradually worse and constantly berates me all day to a point where I have no energy to do anything and no care to taking care of myself. I hardly eat anymore…just once a day because I have zero appetite. I am still struggling to financially and while I am trying to make new collections and comics, she comes in and attacks me verbally, slamming my bedroom door and being outright violent. It’s really affecting me and I feel so desperate, I don’t know what to do with myself. It’s at a point where I stay up till 6 am every day just to have the midnight hours to myself to be in peace and feel like I’m alone. It’s the only time I can work but even then, the late nights tire me.

Ok I just came across a tik tok of a 16 yr old Latina girl showing her room—trashed. Like completely ransacked. And her parents did it cos she has a hard time getting up for school that morning. My heart hurts so much.

How can you bring life into this world and then fucking be so horrible to your own child? She was crying in the video and going through her stuff, she makes jewelry and they trashed her jewelry making supplies.
