Good things come to an end.
It was a simple mission. In and out.
That was until it back fired. You were a sniper, a good one too, you picked off the men one by one. It was just you and soap, ghost had been with price a little back.
They say when a bullet hits you, you don’t feel it. And boy were they wrong.
You screamed in agony as you pulled your 50. Cal around and shot the the guy straight in the head. He was so close the gun always shot a hole in his chest.
You threw your gun to the side and looked at the damage.
“Viper!” Ghost yelled as he ran up.
“What happened!” He pulled at his first aid kit and tried bandaging you up. Your lung was collapsing and blood was filling your other one. You weren’t gonna make it. “Simon, please.” You grabbed at his hands, “your bleeding I’m trying to help.” He yelled.
“I’m not gonna make it.” You coughed, blood sprinkled your palm. “No don’t say that!” Ghost yelled, his voice cracking.
“Simon please. You have to let me go. You have to forget about me. Can you do that for me? Please.” You reached up to put your hand on his mask, your blood tainted his white skull.
“Don’t say that, please. You’ll be okay.” That’s all he said.
That’s all he could say, before your body went limp, he held your hand to his face.
He couldn’t bring himself to forgetting the one thing that kept him alive.
You’ll be okay.
TW; Mild implied suicide and death.
He didn’t know what to do as he cradled your face in his hands.
The same hands that had taken many lives. The same hands he used to hold your now frail body at night.
A relative you were close to had passed away recently, it had practically thrown you into a depressive state. Michael didn’t know what to do, he never had to deal with stuff like this. He didn’t know what to do when your weight dropped, he couldn’t cook. All he knew was to sit and hold you and just hope it all goes away.
There are moments he will bathe you, your favorite soap scrubbed onto a loofah so he may drag it across your body. He’ll brush your hair, put on your moisturizer. His rough hands so very gently gliding across your face. Once he was done he’d hold your face in his hands, kissing the tip of your nose.
He knew he’d never act like this on regular occasions but you needed him.
At night he would often take a shower of his own, speeding through the process for he can hold you in his arms. He walks into the bedroom, you lay on the bed on your side facing the wall. He crawls in beside you wrapping his arm around your stomach and putting his other under your head to use as a pillow. He didn’t care if his arm would fall asleep, if it meant you’d be happy he’d gladly end his own life.
So he’ll nurse you back to health, he’ll slow dance with you in the living room as your favorite song played, he’ll let you paint his nails, he’ll take you on walks through the park his arm around your shoulders, he’ll heat up tv dinners and ramen because it’s all he knows to make, he’ll steal you a puppy or kitten, he’ll clean the whole house, he’ll watch movies with you, he’ll kiss your body from head to toe. He’ll take care of you. You’ll be okay.
He loved you.
He cherished you.
He cared for you.
And he wasn’t gonna lose you.
