@panjants
leave your worries aside. chill a bit with snufkin.
like sorry but imagine loving someone so much that the mere act of doing something w them that would normally be mundane and even vaguely unpleasant if you were to do it by yourself makes it the best part of your day/week just bc you get to do it w them instead. like that level of pure love where ur jst likeā¦.. nothing could possibly be better than spending time with you. it doesnāt matter where or when or how long, it just matters that weāre together. is there anything more beautiful? anything more pure and special than such strong and everpresent love?
Paint-on-glass animation is a technique for makingĀ animatedĀ films by manipulating slow-drying oil-paints on sheets of glass as the animatorĀ gradually alters the shapes they create, and during this process, a camera records each finished āframeā.
When adapting ONEās Mob Psycho 100, director Yuzuru Tachikawa wanted to adapt the source material in fantastic ways. And so, by combining the talents of a skilled staff, an anime with an incredible mix of animation techniques was born.Ā
Mob Psychoās ending, and a good portion of the paranormal scenes are a complex product of paint-on-glass animation, done by Miyo Sato, a Tokyo University of Arts graduate and animator who has had her work nominated for multiple international animation awards.Ā
#SOME RANDOM FACTS: #MP100 IS THE FIRST EVER ANIME TO USE PAINT ON GLASS #BEFORE IT WAS ONLY DONE IN MOVIES AND RARELY EVEN THEN CAUSE ITS TOO TIME CONSUMING #ANOTHER FUN FACT: THE ENDING TOOK 1 WHOLE MONTH TO MAKE #FINAL FUN FACT: THERES ONLY 1 PERSON IN ALL OF JAPAN WHOS SPECIALIZED IN PAINT ON GLASS ANIMATION AND THATS MIYO SATO

Can someone please tell me what it means when an owl LITERALLY fucking swims towards you and then stares you down??
Like look at it?? Literally flew past me and my my friend, it was so close that the wings touched our faces.
Itās reminding you to do your Duolingo practice
The real answer is that it really wants you to go away
Thatās a fledgling great horned owl, theyāre known for being generally ballsy and aggressive, and owls have been known to both climb trees and swim through still water in a pinch
Most likely full scenario: the bird was practicing flying, but it fell because itās still a kid and they do that. It probably fell in/by the water. It then was like Oh Damn Oh Jesus and decided it was not in fact a duck and headed to shore, saw you, and was utterly offended but confused on what to do. So it decided to Square Up and face you like the hellbeast it is.
The pose itās taking in the pic is one I affectionately call Full Orb. A fully orbed owl is 100% READY to FIGHT 1v1 no items final destination. You were probably its first up close encounter with a human, and since birds tend to associate larger animals with predators, it tried to make itself look as big as possible to make sure you know whatās up. It was staring you down because it was waiting to see you make the first move in the dual or flee in fear from its superior owl might.
This reply made this post 101x better
me: oh hello little owl
owl: i will fuck you up
girls!!! we gotta fail more often!!! weāre so scared of failure and disappointing people and looking stupid that we donāt even TRY things! men?? men brush off failure like itās nothing! if a man doesnāt get a job he wanted, itās because they didnāt review his application fairly! itās because the competition was tough this year! itās because he just needs to try harder next time! men just DO things!!! and you know what DOING things builds?? confidence!!! even if you fail!! the more you fail, the more confident you are that you can fail and survive! women donāt even wanna try unless they are 100% certain that theyāre qualified and competent and wonāt disappoint anybody! but that is NONSENSE. men are out there getting positions theyāre not even qualified for, while over-qualified but less-confident women are staying where itās safe bc theyāre afraid to rock the boat!!! DO. IT. apply for the thing! ask for the raise! enter the competition! get used to failing ALL the time! fail quickly and move on!!! if a cocky but mediocre man would do it, then for the love of god, GO DO THE DAMN THING. you are SO much more qualified than you think you are.
I LOVE YOU
this post physically cured me
More often than not the cost of failure in these sorts of things is entirely internal, there nothing to actually lose. Didnāt get that job/promotion? Youāre exactly where you started. Didnāt sell that art piece? Youāre exactly where you started. Person didnāt respond to your advances? Youāre exactly where you started. The cost of failure is often only what you impose on yourself. So fail and forgive and move on. Failure is prerequisite to success. Failure is an opportunity to learn and improve. Failure is necessary and failure is okay. Perhaps most importantly, if you donāt try youāve already failed. Not trying has a 0% success rate. So try and donāt be afraid to fail.

elon musk posted someoneās art without crediting them and got yelled at and now heās doing the taking a break from twitter thing where he sets his avatar to just black and im losing my fucking mind
he didnāt even claim the art is his, like ?? yeah he refused to give credit but did he really need to? He just decided to post someoneās art bc ig he found it nice and worthy to be seen by others. Some artists dont want to be exposed, some do, cant know who wants what tho. I hardly pay attention to Elon but I think he did the right thing and that he should not be sory for his actions. In my opinion, if you want your art to be credited whenever its taken, then you should credit the one who made the character you stole and recreated your way as well, you decide to randomly make some fanart of your otp. What gives you the right to do so? Sometimes you make fanart of real people, but did you ask for their permission draw them your way and post it all over the Internet? Do you think you have permission to draw yaoi out of in real life, straight people? Some have discovered it and are rather embarrassed but you just found it funny and cute. Rarely saw anyone crediting them, and no putting them as tag does not mean you are crediting them, you just put tags so people can find your work easier and give you credits about it. Even if it not real people, the anime characters you take and recreate is same thing. Someone else worked real hard to make this character the way it is and you just take it and remake it however you want, but did you credit its original creator? Doubt it. Iām also into fanrts, I like drawing, but as soon as I post my work online, I do not expect it to be credited. If its taken and reported by someone I wont make a fuss over it not being credited. I post it online so people can see it, admire it, save it, take it. Of course if someone claims that they made it, it will bother me, thats okay. But if they just post it around, Iāll just be glad they liked it so much, I wont expected anything in return, thats why I post it on the Internet. Okay maybe Id appreciate if they did credit it, but Id not force anyone. Lets be real tho, many took tutorials to be able to make something, you should credit them as well, some got inspired by others art, also should credit them.
Plus please, the girl mostly reacted because the one posting her art is famous, many others have done it and no one made a fuss out of it, dont bullshit me now. Being an artist is more than just expecting. You do what you do because you like it, it speaks for you, anything, if you just do it for the attention, then do so, but dont expect much.
I might be wrong, thats just my opinion. I just had to speak up.
