some context

hi! this blog is an aggregation of all the art and writing and likewise for a world that my friends and i have held dear for a very long time. I specifically created the semondi a verrry long time ago and this world has synthesized with another creation, kijin, and a parallel earth, all of which are connected by way of a vast portal network.

What are the semondi? They're a humanoid race of creatures who are superficially similar to dragons. They live on the continent of pannotia, in an empire that's frankly on verge of fracture. check out the semondi tag for more

Why are the semondi? I had a dream and did not put it down. Once, I was going to write a story about them. That did not pan out. So now I am sharing them for everyone else to have fun, too.

How are the semondi? probably doing fairly okay, all things considered. if you want to ask a specific semondi about how they're doing, my brother is the social media manager for the wonderful @detective-extraordinaire, and it is doing a fabulous job writing for cou truthseeker. the character tag might help you out, otherwise.

Who's this 'the scholar' guy? That is a persona that will occasionally be deployed if I feel that giving an in character answer or making an in character post is more helpful than an out of character answer, for whatever reason.

What're those saeritaal guys? In short, they are the anthropophagic inhabitants of kijin. More information pending, but easily findable in the saeritaal tag.

Interesting... Are there stories I can read or art to look at? Yes! While I am working on an off-tumblr database, the art and vignette tags are still kicking in the meantime.

since the semondi are so physiologically different from humans, how does that affect the way they recline? (chairs? beds? etc?)

What a beautiful question! The vast majority of semondi are more than capable of co-existing with human-designed furniture, opting to recline across couches on their stomachs, or perch on the edge. More than a few may sit on human furniture as intended, as some do prefer to have their wings pressed to a wall, the same way you might enjoy your arms being squished between yourself and bedding when getting cozy.

However, semondi-designed furniture is.. Somewhat different. The vast majority of backed chairs have large open areas to easily slot one's wings through, or very thin backs with the top of the back, arcing out on both sides and forming the arms. Though, equally likely-- and equally comfortable-- are chairs with bodyrests, so that any give semondi might straddle the chair and rest their chin on the top of the headrest. Diagram, soon to follow.

As for beds- Shrugs! Semondi will sleep on anything, anywhere, and their beds aren't dissimilar to ours, in that they are still raised platforms covered in soft objects. That said... Beds raised high enough may entice particularly small semondi to grab a blanket, some pillows, and curl up underneath.
