friendly reminder Chris did most of his stunts bc the stunt guys couldn’t move like him.

“One thing we found, too, is Chris can run very fast. He also has a very unique run. It’s almost a dancer’s run. And when we tried to double him for running, there was nobody who could run like him. They just didn’t have the same dynamics or the way he moves. He had to end up doing most of his running.”

“What we also found, is that we had gymnasts come in to do things, and Chris could do the same stuff that they could do, but it would look like Chris Evans. When the body doubles or the gymnasts or the runners did it, it just didn’t look like him. He has such a unique way of moving, and he could pretty much do all of his own physical stuff that wasn’t dangerous. Like this shot right here, we had a gymnast do this, and Chris actually ended up doing it better. That’s Chris here. He hops up on a tank and over a 12-foot wall. It looks effortless but it’s not that easy!”

“Chris worked his butt off for four months doing gymnastics and stunt training so in a scene like this he could go toe-to-toe with Georges St-Pierre and make it look really credible. Is anyone else impressed with the amount of damage Thor received in the final battle?Literally he was pierced by spear points again and again, he losts his eye ... I think the movie skips his suffering,but why the fans do it too?.Sometimes I get the feeling Thor is seen as a huge bull destined to be beaten mutilated without anyone batting the eyeslashes

One of my favorite things about Thor is that we see him being so incredibly indestructable!  Even as far back as The Avengers, he was trapped in the cage meant for the Hulk, cracked it on the first swing of his hammer, then was dropped from the Helicarrier inside it, rammed into the earth hard enough to send up a huge spray of dirt, then gets up from that like:

There’s more dirt smudged on his face than blood.  He’s not even disoriented.He also gets punched in the face by the Hulk and the most he gets is a pretty small nosebleed, he’s not even dazed by it.He also does a shitload of damage in The Dark World and Age of Ultron, to the point Ultron is like FOR FUCK’S SAKE THOR YOU ARE GETTING ON MY LAST FUCKING NERVE because he was destroying so many robots without getting so much as a scratch!Then there’s Ragnarok.  Where Thor is beat in the face into unconsciousness, where Hulk literally jumps like half a mile into the air to slam down onto him, that is enough that would have literally pulverized anyone else and Thor wakes up from it like:

There’s not even fading bruises on him.  We can assume that he was probably out for at least half a day or so, we can assume that Sakaar probably has some reasonbly good healing, but we also know Korg told us that anyone else who went up against the Hulk died from it.But with Thor we don’t see any blood from getting rag dolled or punched into the walls (the walls take far more damage than Thor does!), we don’t see any blood (it’s hard to tell because he does have the red face paint, but I don’t think there’s any blood) or bruising from fighting with the Hulk.The only time we see him take any real damage is in the fight with Hela.  In The Avengers, Loki does stab him with the small dagger, but even that Thor seems to find more annoying than anything that really stops him.  The only time we see any kind of true wound on Thor is when Hela scratches his eye off and she’s one of the most powerful characters we’ve seen in the MCU.I think people don’t really pay much attention to the amount of damage that Thor takes because Thor is incredibly close to indestructable, we’ve seen him hit with things that would obliterate a normal person, and he just keeps on going, not a bruise or a cut on him.THOR IS THE TANK TO END ALL TANKS, GODDAMN.
