To say things were awkward between himself and his brother would be putting it incredibly mildly. He and Heph hadn't spoken ever since he'd married his ex, 'Dite. A part of him wanted to throttle the metal legged bastard for a long time now. Another just wanted to put as much distance between himself and his brother as he could.

"How is she?" He finally asked after a full minute of silence, his orange-red eyes locked on Hephaestus' golden orbs. "Kids doing alright?"

There is a lot of love in the house. there is a lot of stuff he didn't know he could experience in the house as well. There were so many things he missed out on because of this family.

"Aphrodite is fine and happy." Its not like it wasn't obvious to see. Right now she's doing her job and shopping out there. They'll meet later for...brunch?

"Their fine too..."

This is awkward, Hephaestus is awkward.

Because war and tech go along well, no really. The more advance technology goes, the bloodier war can get.

Like it or not, Hephaestus can get....rather olympian about things.

"Hephaestus...." Nowadays she only reserves her fondest smiles for Hebe and Hephaestus, although the latter always came with a pang of heartache in the softening of her eyes. She reached her hands out, far enough to signal that she wanted him to take them, but not far enough to breach past his bubble of privacy. It was up to him whether he wanted to accept to have physical contact with her at that moment.

"You look well. It brings joy to my heart to see you again, my son. Thank you for coming here to meet me."

He adjusts his glasses, head facing down for a moment. Thinking, the scrape of metal across the floor. What did she want now? what did she need? The whims of the goddess of marriage sometimes took things too far. but she seems genuine enough...today.

he does not approach further. One hand awkwardly holding his sides.

"... I suppose. What is it you need from me this time?"
