Carrie plays guitar right-handed and sings when inspired or asked. She has lived in five different Northwest cities, including her current home in Portland, Oregon. Her earliest memory of music involves singing along to The Eagles. Though she cannot claim an affinity to this band, she can still recall the lyrics to most tracks on "The Long Run". She reads fiction and non-fiction and quite a few periodicals. She loves animals and cries at the sight of road kill, especially deer. She rides her bike, always helmet clad.
She falls asleep during films that begin after 9 pm and will only accept dates to matinees.

Corin Tucker grew up (mostly) in Eugene, Oregon. Her father is a musician of sorts and taught her folk songs at a sorely impressionable age. She went to Evergreen at 17 to study film and social change. She protested the gulf war, became a punk rocker and started a band called Heavens to Betsy. Some of the earliest songs she wrote were about having her period, working in a factory, and falling in love. She started Sleater-Kinney with the hottest guitar player to hit Olympia since Brett Lunsford. In 2000 she married filmmaker Lance Bangs, and their son Marshall Tucker Bangs was born in 2001. She loves chocolate, murder mysteries and heavy karaoke.

Janet was born and raised in Hollywood. Upon finishing her all-girl Catholic high school, she fled the land of movie stars and bikinis, landing in San Francisco where she enjoyed it's State University and perfect weather. At 22, after playing drums for only 2 weeks, she joined a primitive rock band called the Furies, and then a year later, Ed. Two weeks before the Bay Bridge World Series, and the giant earthquake of 1989, Janet, her two cats, and Quasi bandmate Sam Coomes moved to Portland to play music and get a dog (Poppy, a dalmation, no longer with us.) In 1996, Janet had the lucky fate of hooking up two hot guitar players who asked her to join their band, Sleater-Kinney. Janet enjoys walking with her headphones on, Stumptown double lattes, Volvo wagons, bowling strikes, and fuzz bass.
