If not, come on toenail fungus, I know you're cheeky with your dark humor, but read the room (ie world is horrible and some of us are, to put it lightly, not enjoying a comfort character being seemingly somethinged)

(edit: not to say it wasn't funny or clever, and not to say that he doesn't deserve a break. He really does, he's given us so much)

Copia and Perpetua (after they start kind of getting along) finding an old picture of two babies and getting into a long, drawn out, heated debate over which baby is Copia and which is Pet. This debate goes on for a good 20 minutes, Copia is arguing about skull size and searching his desk for a ruler, Pet pulls out a protractor to measure nose angle, they both claim they can tell by the eyes. Marika comes in at some point to see where the hell the two most powerful men in the clergy have run off too only to find them brandishing measuring implements and screaming.

Marika, ignoring the boys, picks up the photo
