Ichimatsu's Summer Diary Entry - September 16th (x)
My rough translation of it:
It's been a while since I've written a picture diary, so I don't know what to write... Because we just spend our days like pieces of shit, doing nothing special.
Ah, but the other day, a kitty was sheltering from the rain under the roof overhang and looked cold, so I let it into the house.
I gave it some dried sardines and started playing with it. Before I knew it, it had fallen asleep on my lap...then I realized Todomatsu had taken a picture of us.
You got me...
Responded with silence, but the tears shed by the young girl spoke the weight of the crashing waves behind her eyes. Her lips quivered as she held it in. Her vision blurred as everything seeped out of her eyes but she stared back at the woman who glared at her with the animosity a mother will always have for her daughter.
'"Now you're crying. How selfish could you be. Save it, Marcello. You don't deserve to cry"

Her back stiffened as a gentle hand touched her face. Still, sobs shook through her body, her tears wouldn't stop, Fingers swiftly wiped them off of her stained cheeks, and a voice trembled with her being as it whispered tenderly
"But you should anyways, and I'll cry with you"
And despite the tears, she could still see, so vividly, his own tears as well, and the love that so easily poured out of him. And as she curled up in his embrace even tighter, she was surprised to find how easy it is to find herself right at home.
I am throwing her against the wall... Now to infodump cus I didn't get to do that in artfol cus I was getting dizzy and couldn't form enough thoughts I'm such a dumby
So Marcello, literally my punching bag oc. She started out as a vampire hunter who had special blood that drives vampires wild, to a vessel for an ancient being (not in lore but in how she has changed as I thought of her over the years)
Anyways this illustration took me 6 hrs but only because I made 5 other versions of it... Like any normal person would... Ofc.
The whole she never deserved to cry thing honestly has a double meaning, as in she deserved better or that she doesn't deserve to grieve what has been done to her. Ik that phrase is usually used in a positive light but for me personally, I find it hard to view that phrase as anything good. It has been used against me, in the second context.
That's all I am now itching to go back to finishing my part for an art trade so I'll leave with the other versions of this piece :>>
