The Testimony

Let's bring it back now I think I've got so much left to say Perhaps I shouldn't be doing this today I know it's wrong To let the past haunt you like a ghost but I... I try to figure out What I missed, what it takes And I'm pissed, the mistakes Still appear as I press my fists so hard 'Cause I know how it aches When you feel so impressed You didn't even notice that you dropped your guard I know it now, won't show you how I think I need to learn the difference between words and vows I'm stuck in a place that I've known for so long Maybe I could remember the way to move along Cause I've paid For everything I've said And it gets me upset Somebody please tell me how to quit I wanna leave yeah, I wanna go Though I pray every night so hard you never think so So I, breathe in, breathe out Say it aloud when nobody's around And it's so cold outside There's no warmth in sight There's no warning sign But there's a war inside Of me

So here you are, you wait for things to change "You're the one to blame, you're the one who's strange" You don't believe these lies they keep telling you But if you're in this state, then could it be true... ? And everything seems far, even out of reach And you feel so distant from the life they preach You want to heal, I see you're scarred But you will only get scared if you give up on what you are And I know it's unclear, yeah I know it's unfair Like the world is deaf and doesn't seem to care How to get all these things out of your chest When you feel like you've already given your best ? We still try to know what it means to be young Shooting for infinity and whatever's beyond Lanterns as a light, a fake satellite From the pieces of a paper that we set alight

I'm tired of the rules, tired of the game And it's fine by me that we're not all the same So let's make a move, got nothing to prove But one thing to say

Here's to the lonely, here's to the trying Looking at the sky, hoping one day they'll be flying Here's to the crying, here's to the humble Holding on to dreams, even when they seem to crumble Here's to the broken, here's to the lost Those who try to keep on walking whatever the cost Here's to the failures, here's to the worthless Those who try to be someone and get lost in the process So here's to myself, and here's to you all With eyes wide open, this is our wake up call Here's to the worried, the drifting, the silent, the hurting, exhausted We deserve to fight for a way out now We know what's wrong And it's time we decide for ourselves tonight

Legends

The world still falls asleep tonight But never really stays silent And dreams are what we set alight When all our hopes seem so distant

But we do roar, in soft voices Yet we're afraid of bad choices We're lost but we've found each other If we're sailors here's our anchor

And we're afraid, and we don't know What secrets life still has to show But let's reach for the tales untold Let's find the power that we hold

We could be legends after all And linked with our own animal We'll take the chance to run away For things we'll be proud of someday

And life may try to take us down But it will just build our renown Let's cross over those crazy years Until it fades and disappears

I know we're kids playing a game That it's not meant to stay the same So let's pretend that it's absurd And make stories no one have heard

In a decade, where will we be ? Will we live in the same city ? We all know how time is tricky So here's a trace for us only

Then let's be legends after all At least we gave ourselves a role Cause it matters, for everyone To know that we're not memories gone

And one day we'll choose our journey But we'll never travel alone I'll stay with you, you'll stay with me This way we'll never feel empty

I say farewell, but not for long Here is an oath, if not a song We're all still young, let's keep it so We're thieves but time's what we borrow

And everytime you see a star Remember we're never too far And in the end, do not feel small We became legends after all

The Town

Do we ever know where to start ? Or even when the time is right ? Sometimes we need to figure out The place we've known is all we've got

How many times did we stand still Our arms leant on the window sill Watching over the horizon Waiting for a warmer season

But then again, you find shelter In places you have learnt to love The kid you were saw it bigger But it's enough to hold your trove

The city lights shine far away Just like small candles in the night And you begin to feel alright Cause this is where you want to stay

The future's an upcoming past So we should take it as a gift A moment is not made to last Clocks remind us how time is swift

And we wrote stories on those streets But we will never define them For they will always be ours As they will always be theirs

The town is what you do know best With people that you care about The memories you can't live without You realize they form your nest

And if you fly, or if you try You know it's where you'll always land When winds and storms invade the sky Cause every cyclone has an eye

And in the end, you look ahead The rain took out the tears unshed You watch again the same sunset You grew up but did not forget

One last time you gaze at the view The birds, the sky, the clouds, the lake There's one more step you need to take Back to the start, you'll make it through

Asleep

Asleep, lights off, I'm fine Only silence reigns in the void A step, a sound, a sign I slowly think I'm paranoid

Those dancing shadows in the room At least I imagine them so Oh I can smell a strange perfume As my head sinks in my pillow

My quilt has always been a hut My sleep is where I choose a role My eyes are closed, I keep them shut So I pretend I'm in control

But when will I ever wake up In a place I could call home When will I ever stop to roam Cause I'm tired of feeling lone

I hear some whispers calling out They try to find my whereabouts I'm not so far, but then it seems I've never lived outside my dreams

It's easier to stay this way Another world we stride along But I'm afraid I'll go astray I need to find where I belong

And all the lights, they feel so real Why would I ever want to leave ? Yet it's a deal I try to seal I need to seek what I believe

So when will I ever wake up And find myself at peace again It never used to hurt back then But I can't hide inside this den

Oh I can't tell what lies ahead And I wish I could slow down time I never tried to leave this bed But now I've got to let bells chime

Nights are always shorter than days But they reveal who we all are Don't fall too deep when you're asleep Someday you will find your lodestar

One More Spark

You say, it's never too much And I wonder if it's ever enough You hold your heart with a fragile touch Don't you think life's not always this rough ?

We try our best to look up When our heads keep falling down So we can see the sun just one more time So we can hope our flaws are not a crime

Then if you ever feel heavy Thinking that you are lost at sea Know that I'll be your safety net I'll be the one who won't forget

And if this weight is causing harm I'll keep you sheltered in my arms A safety place where you can rest Your lovely face against my chest

I swear I heard your call Among them all, and I know Words work like promises with me That's why they get me so easily

I can't hold the fire within I see its reflection in you You try to hide, but it's still there Cause I can see it dyed your hair

So let it out, and let it shine I'll keep it up, and show you mine We're left in the dark, so why do you fear the lights ? The beauty of a spark lies in what it ignites

And in the night we'll burn so bright Like suns and moons holding a fight And we will get so high from love That we will watch stars from above

And it's a dream I make awake Like this time I won't let it break Cause after all that's who I am And I won't be the one to blame I won't let it turn to embers While I can still perceive a flame

The Young & Wild

6 P.M, I take a look, I take a seat I try to look back on the things I did with honesty But I must leave, 'cause I can see That though the world is keen It's up to me to get back on my feet Yeah, you cover up your face with grace But it's not enough to erase the little plans you need to trace Replace the words so they fit best the space Screaming so loud so you pretend you can't follow the pace Stars, never showed up for you to make a wish You're left with a fire you don't know how to extinguish I know it hurts to see that your nostalgia won't vanish The same feeling I greet with no relief and no relish I guess there's no better lesson that life could ever teach So I just lie under the rising moon that I beseech Breathing air in despair, looking for a breach While time flies in skies I can never reach

 And usually, it’s time for you to realize That you can’t make out between the truth and the lies And life goes on, but you wait for some other tries Otherwise, you’d be lost, I can see that in your eyes So you just sit here, under a poor tree Writing in anger some pieces of poetry Sometimes I feel a tear rolling down my cheek I know that I’m not strong, but does it make me weak ? Oh there are days when it’s hard to testify And days I want to fall to test if I can fly I still avoid my face, why do I hate mirrors ? I dream my life away, run after chimeras I’m so confused about myself, and I don’t know why So when it’s dark at night I look up to the sky Because if I don’t recognize the guy I see I try to find answers throughout the galaxy

Trains

I'm waiting here at the station Looking at the clock in suspension I can see them in the distance I watch them leave us in silence

Tunnels and bridges in the way Always those thoughts I try to weigh Is there a place for me onboard ? Is it a price I can afford ?

Trains, they go faster How do we know we catch the one Trains, don't go past her Cause if I'm late she will be gone

I hear their wheels rocking the ground And I get lost into the sound I want to go, but where to start ? I'm not arrived when they depart

The platform is a boulevard of winds The platform is a boulevard of dreams A crossroad of wishes and hopes Our railways connect like tightropes

Trains, they never stop And it's so hard to keep the pace Trains, don't you elope I'll be on time at the right place

And time's still ticking on And it's scary but I hang on What if I just take the journey ? Let trains pass on until I'm free ?

I know that you're out there I know our lives will change And when it all connects We'll jump in just the same carriage

Trains, as days go by I feel I'm warming up again Trains, it's no goodbye Just a promise made with a pen

Trains, I'm done running I know one day I'll find my own Trains, I'll keep waiting And now the station feels like home

Cumulus

I, I touched the sunshine Let it through me And tried to make it mine

I let myself go Let myself grow I don’t know if it’s fine

All the things I Carry inside Try to take the best of me

Up in the clouds As I fade out I can’t escape gravity

Now I feel I’m falling But I won’t let anything just bring me down I’m not scared of landing Then I will fight my way back to the ground

And the wind kept blowing We were dancing I got lost into your space

Now I feel so empty Why so messy I’m feeling out of place

It’s away now The lights went out Too much secrets I don’t know

The sky darkens See what happens When my anger starts to glow

Now the storm is raging And I try to give in to the noise As the thunder is striking Is it loud enough for you to hear my voice ?

Come on and tell me now Do you think we will come through Come one and tell me now Is it good enough for you ? Is it good enough for you ?

So I feel we’re losing And the tempest’s whirling I can’t even touch my face

The flashes blind me Lightnings are scary Like they’re going on a chase

But I hold on tight We’ll finally see a blaze And in the next sunlight We will find better days

Carousel

There are some days when I just stop Because I  heard a kid laughing Curiosity has made its way I can’t decide to walk away He is riding a frisky horse Holding a sword within his hands An adventurer proud and strong Sent to a land to fix what’s wrong Dressed as Robin, under a hood He made the world become his toy The horse of course is made of wood But it is real for that young boy I start to smile, but not for long A strange feeling begins to grow It isn’t right, nor even wrong Maybe I should let it all go Sometimes I see through my child’s eyes And it feels good to remember Park roundabout, old whereabouts Lies always had truth in disguise A peaceful state I had to leave But that was me, it is still true A lonely boy, once so naive How did it change, I have no clue Why did they turn the spinning wheel Why does it hurt when I look back The memories lost, they feel so real Now that I look into the crack I don’t know which path I’m taking Or even how I got that old Catching up time, at least trying There is no secret I’ve been told The sun goes down on us tonight With all the leaves that keep falling We grab the bar, confused and stunned We used to be that kid playing Clocks play their trick and you just sit Let time take you as it goes round Then close your eyes and forget it As you take flight and leave the ground I still cry at the carousel Feeling nothing remains the same For perfect innocence is when You just ignore it has a name.

Merging World

There's a kingdom resting inside It wants to come out of me But I'm no king, I got no pride And I don't know how to set it free

But it keeps glowing in the dark Like a distant light of hope And I know I just need one spark So I try my best to hang on to the rope

I could use a hand, to take me back Let me see the horizon once again I swear I'll jump into the crack Did I lose more than I can gain ?

I need to bring this world to life Merging from the seas of my dreams I'll put an end to my own strife One's will can be stronger than it seems

And who am I, among you all ? And can I fly, taking the fall ? When did I smash against the wall ? Why did I cry, but did not call ?

And if it burns, turns to ashes I won't get lost, not for ages For what must die, one day will rise There's no need to fear our demise

Sometimes I hear a thousand cries It keeps me up, alone at night They live, they try, they move (well might) I wish I could see through their eyes

I have to bring this world to life Piercing through the skies of my mind I'll cut it wide, my pen's a knife It was the peace I had to find

I see the dawn, I know I'm right End of the road, maybe a start The clouds are gone, it cleared my sight I've moved along, but not apart

Maybe it's hard, but now it's gone I thought I failed, it proved me wrong Felt out of place, but I found one Somewhere I feel I can belong

The Distance

The lights are burning low The breath of the fire vanishes in the night The land is calm, the land is bright Only the mystic smoke is here to glow Dancing fire, twisted reality The day now slips away The moon will show her side The sun escapes with his heat to hide The wind touches your face The world gives you its last embrace Waiting for the end to start The key to unchain your heart Peaceful seconds, endless river Dreams which come and go Close to mind, it feels so strange to realize We see what we cherish the most When we close our eyes Better than when we keep them open So I face the iris of another scheme, another plan And I try to travel just by closing mine Million miles away, I’m leaving Stuck in the place I always belonged Where is the door to let me in ? Why do I dream when my roots keep growin’ ?

I watched the time falling asleep We're all lying somewhere we love Somewhere we trust, somewhere above I feel the peaceful flow blowing through And it goes, it all goes away Every time I try to catch the skyline It silently fades between my fingers I hear the distance in the cold echo And have no choice but to let it go Losing the embrace of our humanity   Why can't we touch what we see Why can't we touch what we see...
