🌝 my moon

My moon leaves me signs.

Sending me glimmers of light,

So I can find them.

My moon holds my heart.

Hones me home when I’m needed

and always steadfast when I need them.

My moon and I go through phases.

Like the tides, we fall and rise,

But my moon is resilient and like water, life sustaining.

My moon is constant.

Never faltering nor fleeting,

With a heart of light brilliantly glowing.

My moon is my muse.

With gravity always pulling,

Without them, my mind is adrift, endlessly perusing.

The Muse

The muse. Trapped,

lighting…

your…

way.

A prisoner until she decided to break free.

But with her freedom comes her death.

As the bottom breaks out from underneath her,

the rope you placed around her neck tightens.

  Free at last.

She cries with joy

as she falls to her freedom.

Cherishing the deep

breadth of fresh air

with her last inhale.

Hers to hold

for eternity.
