anyone who says they would rather be an avenger than a guardian is a fool. the guardians go on constant outer space adventures with a talking tree set to 70’s dad music. plus they all love and would literally die for each other. what do the avengers do? assemble for five minutes then get into a walmart parking lot fight and never see each other again. fuck you.
Some ppl say comedy is dead cause of “political correctness” but like john mulaney did an entire bit on captchas and bo burnham did an entire bit on not being able to fit ur hand inside a pringles can so really anything is possible as long as ur actually funny
the dregs as things john mulaney said:
jesper: [groans] you know, life.
kaz: I’ll keep all my emotions right here and then one day I’ll die.
nina: in terms of like, instant relief, canceling plans is like heroin.
inej: I don’t know how to lightly make fun of people. I can’t be like, “Ah, look at your shirt!” I have to be like, “YOUR WIFE LEFT YOU.”
matthias: why do people do that? people always shush animals. they’ve never spoken!
wylan: I’ve never been in a fight. you can probably tell that by looking at me.
kuwei: I am very small and I have no money. so you can imagine the kind of stress that I am under.
matthias to kaz: you have the moral backbone of a chocolate éclair.
nina: so we started chanting, McDonald’s, McDonald’s, McDonald’s! And [kaz] pulled into the drive thru, and we started cheering and then he ordered one black coffee for himself and kept driving.
jesper: [about college] it was the worst financial decision I ever made in my life. I paid $120,000 for someone to tell me to go read Jane Austen and then I didn’t.
jesper, probably: I once said “hello” to balloons.
kuwei, definitely: Do My Friends Hate Me Or Do I Just Need To Go To Sleep?
the dregs prior to meeting kaz: I was just shiny and dumb and easy to trick.

Like father, like son
On that faithful day, Jesus rose again. He rolled the stone, shed his linens, and ventured into the world. Back into the world that grieved and mourned and scorned and hated. Back into the same world that threw stones at him, ridiculed him, and took his earthly life. Yet, he came back. And he is coming back again. Share my teachings, he said. Let my people know what I have come to say. Let my people, those who scorned and mocked and threw, let them know I am returning.
Easter Sunday is more than dyed eggs and melted chocolates. It is a promise.
We, too, will rise from our graves. We will rise from the graves of sin and shame and fear and ascend to a world we could never even dream about. We will shed our linens and our skin and trade them for a life everlasting.
All because of that faithful day that Jesus rolled a stone away.
He is risen. He is risen, indeed.
Happy Easter. Here is to a new beginning.

I literally only have one rule in my writing and it is this:
No matter what I put my characters through, they make it. They get to make it to the end of the story and have everything work out and be ok.
Because that’s the story I need. So it’s the kind I write.
If you want a piece of writing advice: write a story that is what you needed to hear at whatever age your target demographic is. I can guarantee you there’ll be someone out there who needs to hear it as much as you did. And maybe you’ll help them the same way someone else’s story did for you.
For some reason, this hit home and I never realized it that I did this for my stories too
