I love that Looney Tunes resulted in "Nimrod" having two definitions that are polar opposites since kids didn't understand Bugs' sarcastic use of it at the time.

Afterglow rig tests! I'm finally at the point where I can make really move and dance. Is the rig finished? Hell no. But I'll never actually use it if I don't start now!
I promise I am not an egg because I enjoy being a man for the most part, BUT... When I wear a N95 mask and my hair is a bit longer and shaggier, I like that I look so androgynous. I feel cute like that.
I was in a zoom call today with my mask on due to being in a public spot, and I kept checking myself out lmao. I do flirt with going NB sometimes, so maybe I am simply a NB egg. I dunno fam, it's complicated.
There are parts of male existence and experience I like, but the rest of it I simply ignore, reject, or even outright despise on a social level.
A short animation I made entirely on a tablet! Very happy with the Callipeg-into-Procreate Dreams workflow. It solves some problems from either, a true gestalt of an animation app. A combiner, if you will.
I was just informed that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is currently planning to rescind their definition "harm" that is currently part of the endangered species act. You can find out more about this and the impact that it will have here: https://savetheesa.org/federal-register
This rule change will make destroying endangered species habitat no longer illegal under ESA regulations. As you can imagine, that will be catastrophic for countless species and their habitats, including many of our local herp species. The government is accepting public comments on this move until May 19th. If you love our wildlife and our wild places, I highly recommend submitting a comment urging US Fish and Wildlife to oppose the rescinding of this measure. Also someone commented they think this is just a change in the wording- that's incorrect. This would make the habitats of endangered species no longer protected, only doing direct harm to the animals themselves. This means they will not have habitats to have babies at. They will not have homes to return to when they migrate. They will not have the specialized foods they need to eat to stay alive. This is the same as demolishing your house, neighborhood, store you buy food at, and hospital your family would go to when delivering a baby. But hey, we didn't directly assault you, so you'll be okay, right?

This and worse is the equivalent of what is going to be done to the homes of those endangered species if this is not stopped. They can't just leave and go somewhere else, they can't book a plane ticket and fly to another continent- this would happen nation wide.

aaaaaaaaaaaahhh... this took quite a long time, I guess not as long as Brotherhood Twists but you can see the difference in the first page with the second lol.
in fact I had done like various previous versions of the second page, you can see here how I was kinda improvising still and also still using some smaller panels, which later I thought it was much better to use big panels for more cool scenes like on Stag's powers by example
before i also had thought of including Pi; the pink navigator, more into the story but I thought maybe would be a little bothersome that she interrupts the fight with her dialogue too often and also may be redundant of her to comment on what's happening.
at one point I decided to make a storyboard and basically I went from there, which still made things a little difficult with the dialogue because I didn't full define that before as usual 😅 but I got some help from my friend and I think it turned out really cool!
it's also a little bit difficult to build on a story that has no prior buildup like I think a story like this should have had, I would have LOVED to build up something from before XD
there are other things I want to focus now but I'd still like to make more fan comics maybe smaller ones and let some headcanons out someday lol
Things that I learned with this, is that next time I make a fan comic like this, I'll reduce the quality in art a bit, maybe less shading and less clean line art would be good to save some time because as much as I like going ham on projects like this, it was still kinda tiring lol
it really helps to have a color guide though! I made one reference sheet for myself here and I still really like it
the shading isn't present and still looks good, so that's something I'll keep in mind if I do another one in the future
oh also ink shading was so helpful! saved a lot of coloring time lol
and I added a few little cameos in the end, added Mac from Megaman X3, 2 concept navigators; one from X1 (the blonde one that was a scrapped concept for navigator) and one from Maverick Hunter X, and I made Signas one of the reploids that appear in the day of Sigma, he isn't the commander yet but he's there helping too!
