I recently saw Sungyeol's named spelled "Seongyeol". Is one wrong or are they both correct? If both are correct, do you know why there is two spellings? I'm asking because there are fan-made apparel for sale on Ebay and on all of them, his name is spelled Seongyeol and I wanted to confirm it's a legit way to spell it before purchasing. Thank you!!

hi, both are correct. the reason is because hangul (korean alphabet) can be romanized (put into our alphabet) in various ways. you may have noticed sunggyu’s name being spelt “sungkyu”, but i personally use “sunggyu”, out of preference, like a lot of fans. you could even spell it like “seongkyu” but its just up to you. 성= seong/sung, 열=yeol. so either spelling is correct, he tends to spell it like “seongyeol” :)
