I am not a stranger or an outsider to this planet, I was born from it, from the collapsing, condensing gases; from the fire and brimstone and molten rock; from the heavy metals and mafic peridotite; from the steam and the rain, from the vast primordial ocean, and from the primordial pools, something that miraculously managed to spark life. I am the earth, a dweller of it. I am made from the same stardust that any of us born on this planet come from. I am magnificent, a feat of scientific and spiritual wonder. I am a denizen of this earth and when I turn to dust i will still be a part of it and when this planet turns to dust, I too will return to the stars.
