Broken Faith by Brandy Nacole
review by: paranormalandromance.tumblr.com I received this book in advance for an honest review. I read books very quickly so when I sat down to read Broken Faith I was surprised to realize that I was finished in a matter of a couple of hours. The characters in this novel are so engaging that you genuinely feel their emotions. I absolutely loved Sabrina. Her attitude and survival instinct combined with her concern for Kayson is so sweet and amusing. The details are so realistic that I could actually imagine Sabrina's stance and facial expressions. Kayson and Sabrina's relationship is so refreshing because it's not the usual: "let's fall in love as soon as we meet each other." I was also fascinated with their respective backstories and how they ended up the way they did. Emma slightly annoyed me at first because I was concerned about what her involvement would mean for Kayson and Sabrina. I had similar emotions as Sabrina with some of the things Emma was thinking and doing. However I am glad she was there to help in the end. The angel aspect of the novel was very well done and made sense (in the paranormal realm of course.) I genuinely felt sorry for Kayson and am glad he found what he was looking for (possible spoiler so I won't say what). Overall, Broken Faith was a pleasant surprise of a novel and I sincerely hope there is a sequel coming quickly.
