My story of the paranormal come pretty much since birth. I was just a year or so old when my mother and father split and my mother moved in with her brother. I’m not entirely sure what city, or even state, this took place (I was a baby after all) as I was told the stories in my teens by my mother. This all took place in 1981/82 roughly.

Back in the fall of '95, me and my good childhood friend Jacob decided to walk from my house to his dad's house about 4 miles away. After a short stay it had gotten dark and we headed back home. About a half mile from my house we took a shortcut through an empty field, and by then we both had to pee pretty bad. With our backs to each other we let loose, and as I started to look up I noticed that something was blocking out the distant light of Main Street, and as I kept looking up toward the sky that's when I saw it. I am about 5'11" tall and this "beast" was looking down at me with these big bright green eyes. Its eyes were glowing about as bright as a lightning bug and almost the same color. This thing had to have been at least 8 feet tall, as I was eye-level with the middle of this thing's chest. I was paralyzed in fear and I whispered, "Jacob, turn around." He turned and was also frozen. This thing made a slight growling noise and showed its teeth. About 4 more seconds went by, which seemed like 4 hours, and all of a sudden this thing lowered down on all fours and took off down toward a thick wood line. The field was hilly and had dead fall leaves covering the ground. This thing went the distance of about 2 football fields in about 5 seconds and disappeared. As it took off, we noticed that it stayed in a straight line and did not move up and down with the hilly surface, nor did it make the slightest sound even when it hit the tree line, which also had a 5 foot barbed wire fence along side it. We took off running for our lives. When we got home and started thinking about what had just happened, we decided to call the police. I know it sounds stupid that we called the police but we were just thinking that it was a danger to the community. Of course the police never saw anything and I doubt they believed us.
