featan:
The pounding of a fist on his door brought Feitan’s attention away from the female officer and to where the sound originated from. At first, he didn’t recognize who exactly it was though he did notice that the voice did sound familiar. It wasn’t until the white-haired male crashed through his window did he understand that this was the officer that he had stabbed that one time in the past.
Even though he didn’t know the two officers life stories he could tell that the female officer and Allen knew each other from how panicked he looked. Just exactly how much they knew each other would be put to the test. With no hesitation, he picked up the limp officer from the ground and put a knife to her neck. He added just a little bit of pressure but avoided cutting her as not to send the male into a spiral of a shootout from a mental breakdown.
“Put the gun down and she stays alive.” He demanded calmly as if he was ordering a coffee or something. This wasn’t his first hostage situation and it probably wouldn’t be his last. His eyes flickered around the officer a little and observed the damage done to his shop. Glass laid spewed about around Allen’s feet, if Chrollo was here he’d probably say it was beautiful or something.
Point and shoot─ just like before. Allen held his grip on his assigned handgun, pointing it in the criminal’s direction. He took deep and quick breaths, trying to remember his training, but failing at comparing it to the current situation. This was different and so much worse than any training could’ve prepared him for. He felt weak and utterly hopeless at the sight.
If only she hadn’t been there─ Allen would’ve killed that bastard in a heartbeat. Hatred had fueled his current state to the point where he was able to realize it’s presence. He knew he needed to calm his nerves, but couldn't focus.
The officer was hesitant when Feitan spoke, knowing the consequences if he didn’t comply. Allen slowly lowered his gun, the same gutted feeling of hatred flowing through his every movement. Slightly crouching, he tossed the weapon to the floor in front of him and rose again to his tense stature. He wouldn’t risk Lenalee getting hurt.
“Just let her go.”
