anyway if an lgbt character acts badly or is nasty or is a villain or whatever it’s not “bad lgbt representation” like not all representation has to be good and not all characters have to be Representation. my characters are who they are and just because they might happen to fall on the lgbt spectrum somewhere doesn’t mean i’m going to rewrite their entire character and story to make them palatable to people who think lgbt characters should only be shown in a positive light.

there are shitty nasty abusive lgbt people out there. eliminating this and only allowing lgbt characters to be nice and good and perfect is unrealistic and infantalising, and when you insist that lgbt people shouldn’t be shown to be evil or bad because it aids homophobia or whatever you’re shitting on a whole load of lgbt people who have been hurt by other lgbt people.

your community isn’t immune to nasty people just because you face oppression.

There is a BIG difference between traditional feminism/women’s rights and radical feminism. The SK shadow government had a lot of the same beliefs as radfems because the overlap between radfems and extremist right wingers is very high.

The whole idea of censoring forms of fiction (anime, video games) because they are “offensive to women” is one such tenant. In fact a LOT of their policies were made with this motive “to protect women.” However radfems while they cry about protecting women have no problem with women getting abused if it means they have the power. Which was essentially what those 8 female billionaires wanted.
