listen to me. thoughts do not have moral weight. a thought will never hurt anyone. the actions you take because of a thought can hurt yourself or other people, but the thought itself is powerless and there is no such thing as thought crime.
"but i have thoughts about being violent towards people! towards children! surely that makes me dangerous!" are you being violent? for real? with your actions? if not, then you are not actually hurting anyone
"but i have thoughts that are offensive and hurtful! they're bigoted, or they're horribly rude, or they're invalidating to others! i'm a horrible person." and what are you doing with those thoughts, exactly? are you taking bigoted actions, or saying those rude things, or taking steps to actually invalidate people? no? well then. no one is getting hurt. and in the meantime, if it really bothers you, doing things like helping unlearn your biases (both against minorities and just, like, against furries and theatre kids and shit) might help some of those thoughts go away, but sometimes you just get shitty thoughts.
"but i have horrific thoughts about sex!" are you hurting people. are you forcing people to do things they don't consent to. or are you just playing the upsetting possibility in your mind over and over again, and acting like that's even remotely the same thing?
thought. crime. is. not. real. OCD. is. hell. (and anything else that may cause intrusive thoughts.) but it does not define you. your thoughts will always, always come secondary to your actions. you're gonna be fine.

Transcript:
Whumpee finally finds a chance to escape from Whumper without them noticing and makes a break for it. They make it pretty far… but just as they start to feel somewhat confident in their chances, strong arms wrap around them, pulling them back into someone’s embrace. Whumper chuckles softly into Whumpee’s ear, even as they curse and struggle to get away. “This is a fun game we’re playing… That’s all this is, isn’t it? A game?
“Surely you didn’t actually think you could get away from me.”
Crawling is the best bc you do it in three instances
1. Into your bed with your injured lover, to keep them warm
OR
2. Towards the woods while bleeding out, trying to keep from being seen by the approaching enemy, surrounded by death
OR
3. Haltingly towards your friends, only to be stopped by chains as they seize up with the fresh waves of pain from the torture machine. You try and plead to be the one to take the pain for them as the villain laughs
Whumpee abruptly stopped their begging and flailing, watching in horror as Whumper slowly turned back to face them.
He touched over his cheekbone, somewhat in surprise, over the spot where Whumpee had just hit him.
"Well," he drawled as he drew up. "If it’s a fight you want..."
"No..." Whumpee backed away. "No please, I didn't mean to! It was an accident! I just... meant to defend myself..."
"From what? I didn't come at you with the intent to fight. Do you want to?"
"No! I just... didn't want you near me..."
"Oh." He stopped and Whumpee almost sighed in relief. But their sigh was cut off by a yelp when the hand that had stopped reaching for them, suddenly clamped around their wrist. "That can easily be arranged."
He dragged the shrieking Whumpee along behind him and threw them into a small room. "Well, a few days in a pitch dark cramped room will surely be better than being near me." He smiled as Whumpee reached out. "Enjoy yourself." And he slammed the door shut.

Picture this:
Whumpee has a chance to escape. It’s a long shot, but it’s the only one they’ve got. Only problem is, they have to jump out of a third story window to do it.
Do they tuck and roll and hope for the best? Do they hang off the edge and drop down? Do they tie bedsheets together and rappel down? Do they aim for something soft?
How do they land? Maybe they roll an ankle, or break their collarbone, hit their head, etc. Maybe they get road rash from the cement, end up scratched by a thorn bush, skewered by something sharp in the dumpster, etc.
oh, to be a pretty boy shackled to a wall
“I gotcha, I gotcha. You’re alright now.”
Whumpee flinching and curling up tighter when Whumper enters their cell.
Whumpee flinching and curling up tighter when Caretaker comes to their rescue.
in the trans-kane au, after he realizes he’s trans, how does the talk with jim go? (i presume they would have one?)
ref
they would! i think kane would tell laken first, since they're also trans, and then laken would tell kane to just go for it and that jim will be cool. kane awkwardly blurts out "i think i'm a man" the very next time jim walks into the room, and things go from there. it takes him about a week longer than that to choose a name (kane being his chosen name in this au). jim would get him a binder, which kane very much likes. he's very grateful to be in an accepting environment, even if he can't stop thinking about what his parents would think.
From the latest chapter part 4
I’m curious about the overlap (or lack thereof) in romantic/sexual orientation and whumpee preferences. So:
The gender(s) of whumpees I’m most often drawn to:
Are always the same as gender(s) I’m attracted to.
Overlap somewhat with the gender(s) I’m attracted to.
Are never the same as gender(s) I’m attracted to.
Are irrelevant; I’m aroace
Caretaker’s worried sick over their recovering whumpee to the point they scoot their own bed into whumpee’s room. They can hear them tossing and turning with an occasionally whimper in the night.
“Are you alright?” Caretaker whispers. Whumpee hums a tired noise in response in a rather unhappy tune.
“Do you want to get a drink and watch an old movie on the couch?”
Another hum, but with some slight enthusiasm.
An hour later, caretaker turns the movie down to just background noise and places their hand on whumpee’s shoulder, who’s curled in a deep sleep on their lap.
