i'm laine, and i'm 18 years old ('06). i primarily use he/him pronouns right now, but any are fine.

i'm a columbine researcher, but not technically tcc. i also don't condone.

i like zero day, resident evil, silent hill, researching true crime (specifically massacres), and a million different musical artists and groups i don't have space to mention. i post my art sometimes.. usually pertaining to zero day in some way.

i don't have a specific dni, just don't be antagonistic towards me and i won't block you.

i know quite a bit about the columbine massacre, and i love questions, so if you're looking for good resources or a specific answer, feel free to drop something in my ask box or dms :3

i've been researching columbine for a year now, and i still find myself regularly crying for each of the victims and their families. reading about (at the time) principal frank deangelis's speech that he made after the massacre to those affected breaks my heart. he was so incredibly brave for the decisions he made that day to save and evacuate as many people as he could.

i'm finally getting around to reading cullen's columbine — why does he write like this?? he refers to one of klebold & harris's girl classmates as being 'busty,' and seems to repeatedly try to imply they weren't bullied at all, (or were very "minimally" bullied) in spite of journal entries from both gunmen & testimonies from their friends & acquaintances....

also i do already know that the book isn't a very good resource, and i've already found a few inaccuracies (or extremely understated references to their highschool careers .. i.e. downplaying the bullying they faced....) in the first 50~ pages

A week before the shooting, all teachers at the school were issued a form of ID called Centegix, which includes a panic button for any potential active situation in the school. The technology also includes a "dynamic digital mapping with real-time locating capabilities". Classroom doors at the school lock automatically once shut and require someone to open the door from inside if the person does not have a key. Before the shooting, a call from an unknown source was placed to Apalachee High School stating that five schools would be targeted and that Apalachee would be the first. A second call, from Gray's mother, allegedly warned of an "extreme emergency" and requested administrators locate Gray, but they were unable to do so. This was while Colt's mother, Marcee Gray was at her father, Charles Polhamus's home in Georgia on Wednesday morning when Colt texted her to say: “I’m sorry, Mom.”

according to the Washington Post, Colt was openly telling his mother he was having homicidal and suicidal thoughts. she called the school and explained that she thought her son might commit a shooting, and instead of securing the building in case she was correct, they got Colt confused with another student and decided to give up because he wasn’t in the class

minutes later, he would kill 4 people and injure 9 others.

this incident was a failure by every single adult around him. his father taught him how to shoot guns and gave him the weapon, his mother didn’t report it until it was too late, and the school was incompetent in handling what could have been and was eventually an active shooter situation.

I hate when Rachel is used as a martyer, she deserves so much better. I have never blamed her for this at all, Fully and only the media spreading misinformation and forgetting her as a person or the others as people in order to profit off them. She is not a tale to be told to push religion and she should be remembered for her kindness and compassion not a religious movement. I just think about that a lot.

These hands belong to Rachel Joy Scott and will someday touch millions of peoples hearts.

i'm reading about the apalachee hs shooting and im about to lose my mind, his mom was apparently an insane abuser and a drug dealer. kid had already been scrutinized by the authorities in 2023 and school had been told to monitor him and what did that do. absolutely fucking nothing as always. we've seen this so many times already. this country never learns.
