Hii! I have big problems with drawing the neck-shoulders area and it just looks very...unnatural from every point of view and it pains me so much!! You are one of my biggest inspirations and I was wondering if you have any tips for that?because yours look great!!! (also i do know anatomy and drawing from human references but when i try drawing without references it looks off..) I understand if you don't have time or don't feel like doing a "tutorial", I still love you and your art! Thank youu!!

I think the lack of trapezius muscle can make the neck-shoulders area look less natural. 

Also whenever I’m thinking of bust-up shots taken from certain angles I’m imagining the shape of the shoulders as the top part of deodorant stick with the neck growing from the middle part 😂(??) Don’t forget about the trapezius muscles on the back of the neck tho, the crook of the neck isn’t forming a solid 90° angle, there’s a triangular shape there so you don’t need to draw the back part of the neck when you’re drawing bust up shot from bird eye view.

I’m sorry if my explanation is confusing, sometimes I don’t think too much when drawing, my instinct just goes “well this looks natural enough” but I hope you get the gist of it 😭

you download one of these ( make sure its big enough ) 

then i put it as the top layer and set the whole thing to overlay. after that adjust the opacity as much as you like
