@parseemizuhashi
Of course he came back, why wouldn’t he? They did say they would come again when they need to rid themselves of this emotion. And what better reason was there to visit the hashihime other than have them get rid and feed off such a negative emotion?
Unlike before however, this emotion they felt now. Instead of jealousy she so tasted before, it was jealousy from the lack of attention among others. She’s fine with that, right?
“Okay then, let me revise my question…”
“Have you felt anyone or anything that’s been constantly seething with such emotions? I’m simply looking for them you see and you just so happen to be the most appropriate individual to aid me in the search if you do choose to lend me a hand.”
Ah...this time the feeling of jealousy was different, but the Hashihime didn’t really mind. In fact, sensing that he was jealous for such a thing was something that the blonde would find rather amusing.
So she couldn’t help but look at the man with a little mischievous smile, all before the question came and...it almost made her a slightly excited about what could come out of this situation.
“Maybe I did find someone like that...but, someone with such delightful emotions could only be fated to be by my side forever.” Mirana...she’s the first one that came to mind. As soon as Parsee got that smile on her face, it was soon fading when getting paranoid that someone came to take her away, from her. “Why are you looking for a person like that?” Choose your words carefully, Rinnosuke...because your envy may soothe the Hashihime a bit, but she’s still unstable and paranoid.
bound-to-paradise:
“Oh I know you quite well, Mizuhashi. My eyes see all. I know that you let your emotions control your actions as if you were some kind of puppet. Why, I can see right now that your eyes are only focused on me. For what purpose? to destroy me?”
-”Optic Gamma Glare”-
As she says this, raises her open fan in the air and multiple disembodied eyes appear and start shooting out small beams from their pupils which quickly grow in power to form powerful lasers. The lasers are shot wildly around the subterranean battlefield, causing debris to fall from the ceiling.
“Perhaps you should be a bit more concerned about that which is precious to you? You just might end up losing them if you’re not careful~ Or, perhaps you’re more concerned about your own life. Are you really that selfish? Tell me.”
Like some kind of puppet...that’s exactly how she felt in those moments of clarity, and she hated it. She knew what she became since the moment she let herself be consumed by her jealousy in life, and now, as the embodiment of the feeling itself, she couldn’t run away from it.
That didn’t mean it didn’t make her angry, however- the Spell Card activated by Yukari made the Hashihime to be fueled even more, but at the same time, it blinded her enough to not be as swift with her movements as she could be.
She was floating and avoiding the Danmaku of the other as best as she could, but at the same time, it was inevitable for her to eat one or two lasers even if not completely directly- her shoulders and abdomen being the ones to get hit mainly.
“Make a wild guess about what I care and don’t care about!” Her life? No...she despised herself, and she died once before already, but Parsee was definitely selfish in her own way- the way in which her own jealousy made her to be possessive and controlling of anyone that could be of use...
-Jealousy Sign “Green Eyed Monster”-
The jealousy youkai’s feelings would start to manifest in the form of a giant serpent. The presence could be felt, but the Hashihime wasn’t making the beast visible...at least at the moment.
All that would be seen were the bullets of Danmaku that the monster was leaving wherever it passed by, that way filling the Underground cave while it tried to go for Yukari herself, directly.
puppeteerprincess:
The left cup does not go unnoticed by the puppeteer, internally sighing that the Hashihime would just leave her little offering and fine cup without much regard. A doll floats over to the cup and platter to carry it alongside Alice as she follows Parsee to her shrine.
The shrine’s disrepair strikes Alice first. As a frequenter of the Hakurei Shrine, she is not quite used to seeing one so unattended. Yes, Parsee does live here, but…it seems like it’s now only good for shelter, the goddess who once resided here has not seen faith in years. Judging from who the resident is, Alice is willing to guess that goddess’s identity is the jealousy driven woman before her.
“I wish I could say that I would like to be around more. You are interesting, Parsee. However, I cannot say that I’d feel safe, especially you having just admitted your intentions,” Alice retorts before passing Parsee to enter the shrine. As the Hashihime said, the woman in question is inside, laying down.
Alice kneels beside her, examining her features intently, starting from her head and gliding downward to her legs or what’s left of them. The job does not seem overly difficult, yet she cannot claim that it will be easy. Still, she already gave her word to assist.
Now that they were in the little shrine and the shack that she would call a home, Parsee would kneel near Mirana once Alice entered inside and started to take measurements. Due to her nature, the Hashihime seemed tense, but she was too focused on the puppeteer or the fact the other was going to give the android some new limbs, as complicated as it could be, so instead of making any rude remarks to what the girl was saying about her, she just crossed her arms and half closed her eyes.
It was dangerous to be around her, yes...but at the same time, seeing and feeding off the jealousy of this woman made her a bit more stable...
“One way or another you will have to come back to help me out with this, anyways.” So this wasn’t a goodbye...and if Alice didn’t come back, she would take for sure that the youkai would try to drag her instead. “So what do you think?...could you make some new limbs for her?”
puppeteerprincess:
“I guess I’m flattered that you seem to trust me enough to let me into your home without cleaning it first.” Not many would be so generous with their trust, but Alice knows better than to think Parsee has much shame, at least in regards to material things. Though, it doesn’t make Alice any less surprised that the Hashihime just…agrees.
Alice shrugs. “You needn’t watch me like a mother or a hawk, Parsee. I simply won’t take anything.” Surely, Parsee does not own anything that would catch Alice’s interests. Still… “But if I do happen to see something I like, I’ll ask you first. I’m neither a thief nor a child.”
“I figured something like that. I didn’t come all the way to the Underground expecting you to pay me, so it’s fine. Consider me doing this out of the goodness of my heart, a way to forge a relationship.” A pause. “But if it makes you feel better, I’ll keep your offer in mind, Parsee. Now, I’ll let you lead the way. If this is a friend of yours, I’m sure she’d rather see your face before mine.”
“Trust you?...maybe I am just in a better mood and don’t care too much at the moment.” Better to still keep an eye on Parsee. Truly...she wanted to keep Alice around for as long as possible to get the best out of the puppeteer at the same time she asked for the limb request. If going out of control, the Hashihime would try to manipulate the magician again.
But ah, more importantly. Alice mentioning doing all of this as a favor and to forge a relationship with the Hashihime was new, and something that deep inside, Parsee didn’t like for one reason or another.
Was the puppeteer planning to take advantage of her at some point? No, it was just her paranoia, but at least it wasn’t as loud at the moment.
“Follow me...please.” Ignoring the unfinished tea, the green eyed youkai would then start walking to the little shrine. Almost near the bridge and in front of the river that crossed through...it was pretty pathetic and abandoned, but that was normal.
“She’s inside there, laying down...in reality I wouldn’t mind having you around a little more if you always came with that jealousy of you polluting the air a little...what a pity you aren’t exactly human...it would’ve been even funnier that way.”
"Parsee! I've come to have you eat it out of me again!" Now why's he shouting like this? To maybe hid the cloud of envy seething out of them maybe. How he thinks that would work? Not sure. "Also, by chance have you felt anyone or something filled with so much envy in them here in old hell or above surface?" Preferably one that appears human, but isn't.
Hah?! He was here once again? Even after the things Parsee was hearing about him last time? In part it didn’t make the Hashihime happy, but on the other hand...he came here with something for her, so she was hesitant as to how to really react in front of the half youkai.
For now she was going to listen even if with a small frown...depending of how this went, it could end up well or not.
“You better have a good reason to come back here again, shopkeeper. Something better than just being here so I can eat off your jealousy.” Was she salty? Yes, because she WAS jealous...
“But what kind of question is that?...isn’t it obvious I’m the one around here or Gensokyo filled with the most envy and jealousy?...” Mirana came to mind as a fair contender but...Parsee didn’t stop being a personification of jealousy itself.
Maybe thinking there was someone even more envy than her would make her jealous, ironically.
Oh, to be a Hashihime remembering the days in which she was a goddess and missing them out dearly because she was at least not as deranged as she is nowadays.
puppeteerprincess:
“My insincerity would offend both of us,” Alice is quick to include. She could not just let the Hashihime think that this honesty is just from the puppeteer’s “trust” of the other youkai. “Not that it matters, since I’m sure you’ve already made your decision about me.” Which Alice could venture a guess being related to consuming her jealousy.
Alice, knowing better than to flinch in the face of Parsee of all people, does her best to stand her ground when the bridge youkai leaps down from the railing.
The magician is smart enough to know full well that her phrasing would irk the other. In fact, it would be the goal. But she is not foolish enough to allow the bridge princess a chance to attack undeterred. So she sip from her own teacup, hiding her discomfort and intentions.
“I have absolutely no intentions of taking what is yours,” Alice stresses in response to the unneeded warning. “The way I see it, you have asked for a job from me. It is in my best interests to accept this job. You don’t have to explain to me what you don’t want to.” Really, the fact that Parsee has someone she wants around is shocking news enough. Alice would prefer this news unsullied by whatever evil Parsee is actually doing…Really, why can she not just say she cares.
“I’ll even allow you go into your house first to hide anything you might wish to hide from me so i don’t “try to take those too”.”
Insincerity wasn’t welcomed around the Hashihime, specially when it was obvious to her what Alice was feeling in this case. But the puppeteer would be accurate guessing that Parsee would be trying to consume the other’s jealousy- at the very least, it put the youkai in a better mood, so it was better than confronting her when she was angry or paranoid.
At that, she simply smiled- a smile that could completely come off as a sweet one, even if anyone that knew Parsee enough would be able to tell it wasn’t sincere.
“Well, I’ve seen you surrounded by insincere people before, so maybe you can be trusted.” Or at least, the green eyed woman could put some trust on Alice because of the jealousy the magician emanated; her mind was slightly more balanced at the moment to have some decency. “You know better than anyone to not take the things from others without permission, yes?...so I won’t hide my things, but I will be keeping an eye on you at all time.”
“So you accept the job, yes?...but I warn you, I have nothing to pay you with. Unless you still want to accept my offer of cursing someone for you...I’ve served people before with my abilities, so it’s not too far fetched.”
bound-to-paradise:
With quick reflexes, Yukari tilts her head and one of the bullets grazes her ear, singeing the tip.
“Oh? Are you challenging me, Mizuhashi? Standing up for yourself?” Yukari floats up into the air, dodging more bullets that are coming her way. “I didn’t think that you would be so bold. Very well then, I accept your challenge.”
Lifting her hand up in the air, magical energy balls start forming around her. “So that I can prove to you that you’re nothing but a sad washed up youkai under the delusion of godhood!” Yukari points her finger at Parsee, and the bullets are fired towards her.
As bold as she always was. At times, the Hashihime would force an excuse to attack another- maybe it was even creepier when she did such a thing while hiding her jealousy behind a faux smile.
But right now, she was unstable enough to not even care about hiding her emotions with a smile; all the bullets flying around the underground cave were enough to express Parsee’s anger.
Just as expected, Yukari was a youkai that could gracefully avoid the bullets that were shot at her, but that didn’t stop the green eyed youkai from still trying.
Or more like, she was doing this without really caring about the consequences.
“You were that voice of last time...in company of the shrine maiden, weren’t you?! Making as if you knew me enough.” It makes her sick! In her eyes, no one knew her well enough aside of herself. In her anger, she kept casting bullet patterns in Yukari’s direction, but said anger costed her some of her agility, making the Hashihime to eat some of the bullets that Yukari fired in her direction instead.
puppeteerprincess:
For a moment, Alice frowns, confronted with the statement that it was actually her own jealousy that fueled the curse. She crosses her arms as Parsee speaks before shaking her head.
“I admit, I was and am a jealous person, Parsee. You know that as well as I. But I wouldn’t have been a victim of it if not for your curse setting things in motion. Hopefully, at least, you were able to make a decent meal out of my downfall.”
Alice, at least for now, is able to answer comfortably that the blame is still on Parsee. For own sanity, she will leave it at that as well. No need to stay up at night over something the Hashihime said to probably rile her.
Having heard Parsee’s statement, Alice sighs.
“Why can’t you just say that you care about this person enough to ask me to provide something that would make her with something to make life easier. I’ll need to meet her in order to take measurements in order to see exactly what and how I need to make for these limbs, but yes. I can do it. Though, I would appreciate a please.”
“Yet again, I tell you, I just gave you a little push...all I do is play with what’s already there. But isn’t it wonderful?...jealousy is not a bad thing.” Not when it didn’t go to the extremes of killing someone because of it... “It’s just a feeling like any other that anyone can experiment. But well, I am glad to hear you being sincere about the fact you are a jealous person, though.” Bad thing when the Hashihime was glad to hear of it. Of course she had a good meal out of Alice! And being this pushy about Alice’s own jealousy just proves that she likes what she gets from the puppeteer.
At least...she wasn’t going to die like a regular human driven by jealousy.
Her grin was washed away the moment the magician worded things in that kind of way. Deep inside, it was true that Parsee felt some attachment to the woman she was keeping even if she wanted to avoid it, yet, her main purpose to keep her was still that exchange of jealousy that made her feel happiness and a high that no one else has given her so far.
Tightening her fingers around the teacup a little, the green eyed youkai would jump off the bridge’s fence before taking a sip out of the tea in front of the other, but then, she would gently rest the cup on said fence. Turning away from Alice for a moment before she clicked her tongue.
“Hah...care...how bold of you to assume I care...it’s complicated...not the word I would use to describe why I still have her around...and doubt you would understand even if I told you.”
“She rests in my house...you see that little shrine close to the bridge? It’s mine. I give you permission to take measurements, but I will keep an eye on you so you don’t try to take her away from me. Understand?”

jealousy jealousy
puppeteerprincess:
Parsee’s offer of a curse is met with front of Alice’s free hand as she sips her tea. She shakes her head as she sets down her cup.
“Thanks to you, I know firsthand what such a curse might entail. If I seek some sort of retribution, it will not be one that would affect others. I don’t need Sakuya stabbing Remilia because I’ve been wronged.” Another sigh. “I’m not going to murder anyone. I’m sensible, Parsee. And even if I weren’t, I’m not going to murder her and make an enemy of everyone. I’m not trying to die also.”
Part of her believes that anything would be too good for Sakuya. The fact alone that Alice is acknowledging the ordeal affecting her is too good for Sakuya. Really, why can’t her mind simply discard rubbish to the trash?
Alice does not share Parsee’s smile, though it does feel oddly alright to open up a little about her grievances after having tucked them away for so long.
“If you’re asking if I’ll take her limbs and replace them, no. But yes, I can make artificial limbs. Please do not take that as an ‘I am okay with butchering people’, Parsee.”
“Hmh...if I may confess something is that, I didn’t expect my curse to have such a big effect on you. You see? I’ve lost powers through the years and it usually make the majority of victims to just have some bad luck...you, however...I must thank your own jealousy. It helped the fires of my curse to grow stronger without me having to do anything else.” Even with that, the Hashihime still missed her ancient power. Before, she could make sure people died with her curses...murder, suicide...it’s something that she hasn’t been able to force people to do for a while.
But maybe that’s why she was so pleased and surprised with Alice’s reaction to the spell. Still sad that Alice didn’t seem to want to do something bad by herself and as long as she was totally conscious and not manipulated by the green eyed youkai herself.
Taking a sip from the tea, the Hashihime would hop to sit on the fence of the bridge, before looking down at the puppeteer with a rather smug smile.
“Sadly, her limbs are already gone.” How cruel...implying she wouldn’t have to remove the limbs from Mirana herself, or something! “Arm, legs...she is almost like a pitiful torso with no life, except that she still lives...but she is actually too useful for me to let her just live like that. It’s why, I wanted to know if you could replace what’s already gone with some artificial pieces so she can walk again.”
betweenhumanandyoukai:
“Oh, believe me, but I’ve already been doing that~” Though, its not what she thinks. You can’t exactly kill someone when they’re already dead afterall. Now how are they getting payback? By taking care of their kids obviously! By giving them the care that they should have had been giving their own child. If anything, she’s getting the best meal out of him right now. “And its as you say, it does make me feel great.”
“But really though… I find it baffling that your husband abandoned you for another. Taking just your physical appearance, you’re quite attractive afterall.” Rinnosuke would shrug at the end as they let out a sigh. “That’s just how some humans are I suppose…”
“Oh?...you’ve killed someone before for taking what was yours?” What a toxic way to see it...it was obvious that Parsee couldn’t really tell that the person that Rinnosuke had in mind was already dead, but it didn’t matter to the Hashihime too much- not when she was actually in a good mood because of the man’s own feelings when talking about all of this.
There was, however, a thin balance between the blonde’s different moods. The jealousy was nice to consume, but the fact Rinnosuke was bringing up topics about her ex-husband were making her...a little angry.
Not as angry as she would be if she wasn’t toned down by the other’s jealousy, though.
“A pretty face wasn’t enough. I don’t remember the major part of my human life but I know I gave him my everything and more...yet, someone slightly younger and ‘exotic’ is better, right?” There was spite in her tone, for a good reason. “He could’ve asked politely and I would’ve accepted for him to marry another woman at the same time. But no. He had to go and do the worst thing possible.”
puppeteerprincess:
Whether Parsee wishes for the tea or not, the dolls have already set about pouring two cups for the two blondes. Alice wants tea, especially considering that she has actually brought herself to talk relationships with probably the least trustworthy person to do so.
At least the warmth of the drink with help keep her calm.
“It is a vice,” Alice repeats as she sets her cup on the railing of the bridge, though she keeps her hands around it. “I’m not saying…Well, maybe I am.” She lets out a heavy sigh. “I’m furious about the whole thing, but I don’t want my personal feelings to burn the bridge for those that I still know. Close friends live under the same roof and all that.” Alice, for now, lets herself go along with the Hashihime’s words. For months, she’s grappled with the mix of negative feelings. If anyone knows what she’s feeling, it is probably Parsee…Maybe there’s wisdom behind the manipulation?
“You first. You seemed so eager. You even smile, a rarity, I’m sure.”
Accepting the other cup of tea even if hesitating and not interested, the Hashihime took a small breath to take in the scent of the warm drink. She had to admit that, it’s been ages since she actually drank something like this, so it wasn’t all that bad.
But no matter, what interested her was the conversation with the puppeteer. She almost could feel the jealousy of last time coming off Alice, specially when she actually opened more to the green eyed youkai about it all.
“Well, pity. It would’ve been better if you ended up killing her, but I guess breaking up was also a good option, specially for yourself...want me to cast a curse on the maid, though?...I feel you would do it yourself if you want, either way.” Parsee wasn’t moving, but she was staring at Alice with eyes that would feel as if they were pushing the magician to really go for a curse. A curse through straw dolls, if you will.
But oh, she was smiling, even if her smile was as fake as ever, she had to admit her mood was a little better because of Alice’s feelings this time around.
“Say. Would you be able to create artificial limbs for someone who lost a few of them?”
bound-to-paradise:
It’s like Parsee is practically spelling out what Yukari needs to do in order to anger her more. With that said, that actually may be the best course of action to get her to calm down. It’s a kind act masked by an aura of malice. Perhaps it’ll both help Parsee and keep Yukari’s demonic desires sated.
“Maybe I am, or maybe I’m not. Aren’t I a lying full grown adult like you said? So what reason do you have to believe me when I say that you’re acting like a fool? A fool that everyone points at laughs at when the opportunity arises. I’m simply here for the show, Mizuhashi.”
A ‘tsk’ could be heard escaping the Hashihime’s lips before she ended up biting her bottom lip with some force, miraculously not making it bleed.
It seemed like Yukari really was here to make her angry, but even when deep inside Parsee knew that she shouldn’t react by impulse, she couldn’t think well enough at the moment to not do so.
And so she got closer to the gap youkai that was watching and mocking her so smugly from there- without warning letting a few bullets of magic to be shot Yukari’s way.
“Enough! I am tired! You couldn’t leave me alone- you had to come here to rub everything against my face! Such a cruel entertainment!-” Just at the first bullets came, there came a few more, all while the aura around the Hashihime just grew stronger...one could swear there were tears forming in her eyes, but just for a mere moment.
If Yukari really was going to stay then...the green eyed youkai would inevitably end up manifesting her rage again.
