Others believe it to be an enchanted material from the golden age of alchemy, imbued with a modicum of sentience. Whatever the case, when injected or grafted into a host, the material bonds with their body and spirit, growing and replacing damaged or lost tissue, seamlessly fusing with their skeletal, circulatory, and nervous systems. In short, Xenodermae function as magically attuned cybernetics, granting their host abilities far beyond the limits of a normal human. As the Xenodermae grows and develops alongside its host, it shapes itself according to their needs and personality. The deeper the connection between the Xenodermae and the Xenografted, the more control the host can exert over the shape and function of the living metal. However, some believe that the opposite is also true, and that the alien material may possess an agenda of its own…”
