Carpe Diem

One of my best friend’s house burned today. His family came out okay, but his dogs died in the fire. This guy had been working very hard on building an environment fit for development and had been building his personal library. Look around you, everything you have: your friends, your family, all your belongings, be grateful for it. As a wise Indian woman once said: everything is an extra. Be grateful for today because you never know what tomorrow holds; carpe diem.

Ahaha happy to hear that! I’m using illustrator, photoshop and after effects mostly. I’m a complete beginner myself and I’ve found the only way to learn this is through experience. So my advice to you if you want to start creating your own stuff is to just start and be consistent :) Hope this helped :P

New year, new blog.

How to Throw a Great Party

Step #1: Find a Venue

This is by far one of the most influencial steps in party planning.

Finding the best venue for your event can make or break the life of a party. Often times, parents will allow their kids to throw a house party. If this is the case for you, rejoice and skip to the next step. If however, a house party is not an option for you, whatever the reasons may be: living in a condo/appartment, rules too strict, shitty neighbors, etc., then here are some alternate options:

Try finding an actual venue. A lot of factors come into play, and cost is the main one you should consider. Community halls and churches often have room to rent for pretty cheap. If you have a bigger budget, parcs, hotels and major venues can be considered.

If you encounter issues finding a suitable, if I may say “typical” venue, then consider giving yourself more time to the party planning process because although it isn’t impossible to throw a party at this point, the process will definitively require more work. While driving around, stay on the lookout for room rental offers, you might get lucky. Otherwise, keep expanding your social circle and stay on the lookout for any opportunity that may arise

Lastly, if all fails, consider throwing an improvised party in a park. Have your guests ready to leave, and ensure that all your equipment is mobile. Music will have to be lower depending on the scenario, but you may as well pull it off. Just make sure to analyse your chosen park’s specificities before moving in. Consider local authorities’ patrol in the area, proximity of neighbors, and local laws regarding your park. Don’t be reckless!
