How to Plan a Quarantine Birthday Party
Coronavirus! Shit is Real! Pretty much we’re all super limited in celebrating our birthdays and other special occasions. But turn down for what?
It’s going to be a memorable birthday no matter what so you might as well have some fun with it. Invite a few friends over (less than 10, fam) and live it up.
Dessert Bar: You thought I wasn't going to have a birthday cake? I almost didn't, but I’m glad I did. I went all out with a giant chocolate cake and assorted mini cupcakes and banana pudding with bday sprinkles. I topped it off with this glitter acrylic cake topper and it was perfect final touch.
Playlist: The vibe is key. City Girls, Mulatto, Rubi Rose, Bryson Tiller, Drake, Migos. A smart TV is really clutch because you’ll get a visual with your music and step up the vibes even more.
Decor: You can go a long way with simple and sweet. I used these pre-filled confetti balloons to make my place feel festive and intimate. I also lit a few candles to put around the house, dropped a little confetti, hung a Happy Birthday Banner and was good to go.
Activities: There's no pressure here. You can definitely just chill and enjoy your bday with food and drinks or roll with a themed event. Make it a movie night and watch a classic like Candyman or do a game night with Uno and Jenga.
It doesn't take much to make a party, and having people to celebrate with is what really counts. What do you think of these ideas? Drop a message if you want a part 2!
Inviting my girls over for dinner and a P-Valley marathon. Sangria, Hennessey Grilled Peaches and Rasta Pasta, it’s lit.
