Just take the damn song and interpret however you wish. She may write with any perspective she wishes, you can read it however you wish it as well. Traditional folk tales have different versions over time, so just take the song and imagine it within the universe that best suits you. This applies to an infinite number of things: sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, time...!

But also...

In the case of being just a bully who thinks James can’t be interpreted as a girl just because Taylor said he was a boy... please just know I’m interpreting you as someone from the dark ages who needs to calm down.

Soooo just stopping by to share my experience with the rep merch I ordered last May. This is merely about the post services and not at all about the delays in production, which were duly explained by Taylor Nation. Basically I ordered 4 articles, which added up to around 40 dollars, which I thought it was a GREAT DEAL. On top of that I had to pay 25 for shipping, which already meant more than half of the total of the overall purchase, but ok, decided to go with it. According to my bank account, minor values (rather small, but still money) were also deducted for taxes since I’m buying from outside the EU. Stuff finally arrived in Portugal this week but got stuck at customes, which is a pain in the ass of a process since I have to prove with documents and describe all I bought. Right now I’m at the waiting stage for it to be relesead, but according to the simulator, 27 additional euros must be paid.

This is not a complain about anything because, honestely, no one within the TS universe can really be blamed for costs of shipping or the laws in the EU. It is really just a warning that buying merch is not really worth it if you’re from outside the US. In the end, even the greatest sale turned out quite expansive - plus the waiting.

I only urge for things to be facilitated for international swifties now that Taylor is with Universal, which has representatives in Europe. I ordered Folklore and I’m already scared for how much more it will cost me. Because I subscribe Universal newsletter in Portugal, a few days after the album was announced, I receceid a link for what seemed to be a EU website - however, it arrived rather late, it didn’t have all the merch and people on the internet were confused about its veracity. Still, I acknowledge it’s a step!

Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to share this experience, maybe it will reach someone who can improve this. Be reminded this is not a complaint, it’s constructive criticism ♥️ thank you! @taylorswift @taylornation
