Like if you’re an average looking dude and a beautiful-modelesque looking women decides to date you, it’s like low-key whatever, but I’ve never seen the roles reversed. It’s a really difficult thing for people who were abused as children to grapple with. What made us good children make us bad adults.

NYC/LIC will be better off. They just spared thousands of people working in misery, subsidized with our tax dollars.

Local businesses were spared from being Amazon’d into oblivion. Ever notice how most new retail in NYC is nail/hair salons, barber shops, and horrible corporate food franchises? They are trying to Amazon-proof their business model.

In addition, the innovation and mom-and-pops, once thriving in NYC, have been decimated.

DeBlasio is proposing a tax on empty storefronts, a result of hedge funds buying up real estate in hope of landing big chains.

With an investment of $3 billion, the city of NY could easily create 25k jobs that fairly pay workers, and also benefit the society as a whole. That is something Amazon never would have done.

Just getting in and out of the Amazon facility in Baltimore can take upwards of an hour for employees, I could only imagine what it’d be like in NYC. Amazon has made no investment in transportation infrastructure in and around its facility in Baltimore to aid ingress/egress; I find it hard to believe they would have in NYC. And that’s just one of many issues. Y'all dodged a bullet.
