Crack! Crack! Splat!

As you push your way out of the egg you had developed in, you notice that the forest around you seems to be singing, as if welcoming your arrival. Stumbling out onto the ground with wobbly legs, you notice that the ground is covered in moss, providing you a comfortable place to sit while a group of fairies comes to sit on your shoulders, wiping gunk from your body and face.

Once you are all cleaned up, you take your first few steps into the forest, noticing many things that catch your eye. Although you know you have seen none of these places before, you feel a sense of warmth and familiarity greeting you from each one of them. Which will you explore first?

What is Inertia?

Inertia is my imaginary world that I've been building in my head since I was around 11 or 12. It is a world inhabbited by mythical creatures and niceness. I created Inertia as a way to cope with the trauma I was enduring at the time. I currently struggle with maladaptive daydreaming as a result of spending hours thinking about my world, so I am posting this to help myself wean off of daydreaming so much. I am also posting my stories to organize my thoughts, and maybe even come up with new ideas!

Who lives in Inertia?

Any magical creature you can think of, it probably lives there. I've made many ocs who also live there, ranging from fairies, to nymphs, to unspecified elven things.

What is Inertia like?

For the most part, I imagine it as a rather small planet. Idk nothing about the universe it lies in, or what laws of physics are in place. I'm finding these things out with you guys lolll. I imagine it to be a lot like Earth (as that is the only planet I've ever lived on), so there are plains, caves, rivers, oceans, mountains, etc. Societal structure isn't really a thing here. Everyone just kind of exists with one another. (This world is literally a child's mind going "fairies are here and everyone is nice to each other!" so something that would never happen here, doesn't mean it won't happen in Inertia.) Unless stated otherwise none of the characters stories entertwine with anothers. Inertia and its inhabitants are there for a purpose.

What will you write regarding Inertia?

I will write my personal headcanons for mythical creatures, lore for my ocs, lore for the world, etc. I will also draw a lot of stuff for it and post it on my art account (@inmypond) so keep an eye out for that!! Things are subject to change as I see fit. This is my world and Imma do what I want with it lol

Im so happy that ive been able to be apart of your journey Jack, im so happy I meet these people, this blog made me feel safe and accepted. Im so sad its coming to an end but I know that as time goes on people change and grow, im so happy I at least got to be apart of this. hi everyone!! after many years of running this blog and having fun with it, I think the time has come for me to announce that it is pretty much dead. I used to have fun writing 'x reader' stories, but ive grown up and stories like this arent really my speed anymore. if you want to unfollow me, feel free! i wont delete any of my old works, but i wont make any more.

I think if i continue this blog as a writing blog, it'll be more about my personal interests now. Stories about fairies and mermaids and other magical critters are more of what i want to write now. my ask box will stay open if anyone wants to ask questions or just talk, but no requests will be finished.

From the deepest part of my heart, thank you SOOO much to everyone who supported this blog. You have allowed me to express myself and find a sense of community I never would've had. I love you all, and hope wherever your life leads, it is good.
