anyway this use of the word “trigger” as “mildly upsetting” has absolutely affected me personally as someone who suffers from ptsd. even in therapy i cannot bring myself to use the word unless absolutely necessary because when i use it i feel like im using some adolescent slang word and not a word that is used in professional psychology to describe my symptoms.

i want a productive life for myself - not the romanticized workaholic lifestyle (that’s actually very unhealthy), but a good fulfilling life full of simple pleasures like gardening, cooking, baking, reading, painting, etc. i feel like those things are starting to lose popularity in our society and now people mostly prioritize finacial success over their mental health and happiness and it makes me sad.
