i can't believe kpop is so mainstream now. I heard nct dream playing at Loblaws today

#like I heard Chenle's voice and the korean and I was like wait... kpop?#and then I heard haechan's voice and got whiplash #nct dream at a grocery store..... I usually hear hybe groups but their english songs at the mall #but I've never heard nct before. and at Loblaws of all places not even walmart or something

hihi! yearly check in ngl, i keep forgetting i have tumblr BUT I MISSED YOU SM! i mostly kind of forgot what were talking about but in summary, totally forgot about my ex friends. they come into my mind every now and then but its just bittersweet in a way. and ever since then, i started to LOVE cats. theyre so cute and i hope to adopt one, one day. hows your cat ? hopefully shes calmed down ever since u mentioned about her lol. i got a boyfriend from that situationship! we have ups and downs but it seems like were steady! but enough about me, hope youre doing well! -nini

idk what I even said about my cat lmao but she’s just a sassy princess (as most calicos are) but she’s so cute so she gets a pass. and I got another one! Stole him off the streets lmao he’s a brown tabby. He’s more docile and tolerant of all the nonsense I do compared to my girl haha so I bother him a lot. But he’s also a big scaredy cat like you wouldn’t think he grew up on the streets with the way he acts. Idk if getting him neutered just made him lose all survival instincts lol. I hope you can get a cat! But also I legit don’t leave the house much bc I feel bad leaving them alone LOL but usually we have someone home and I also work from home so it’s fine. They also can’t be together unsupervised because my girl is a drama queen and will act like he’s injured her when he’s barely touched her and only trying to play 💀.

I have nothing new to update. Still at the same old job (i think I was still a contract employee when we last talked but now I’m permanent! Yippeee!) and I’ve gotten into pickleball. Except we’ve started our summer heat waves (this week was so crazy hot) so I haven’t been able to go to the park to play lately unfortunately.

super hard to ignore climate change when it’s 30 degrees and the trees haven’t even budded yet.

#I’ve been concerned since we skipped fall and went straight to winter but now this is happening and we had like half a spring #And we skipped straight to extreme temps of summer like…. Even if it’s temporary it’s so unnatural and I feel like I’m the only one concern #Concerned*

saw a lot of my old classmates and schoolmates today and everyone has a baby. I am getting old :( also today just made me think it wouldn't be so bad moving to a whole new province or metropolitan area. nostalgia and family (and of course the crippling economy) keeps me here but it'd be nice to start new and fresh without constant anxiety and trauma plaguing me everywhere i go

#just some random personal thoughts #but i always get a little melancholic thinking about how covid inhibited me from a lot of growth and healing that I would have otherwise ha #would be nice to just live on the east coast with my cat

ethnically/genetically, not made for the winter. Mentally, also not made for the winter

#I hate seasonal depression wth #And now that I’m not a teenager anymore my body and joints all ache and pain if I don’t dress warm enough #Need to go back to the motherland (even though I’ve never been) to soak up the heat and sun ahhhhhhhhhhh

the new 5sos album is not hitting for me. Like it's good i guess, but I feel like it sounds pretty generic. 5sos5 was such a masterpiece and their lyricism and instrumentals have always been amazing and every new album just sets a new standard for me. but I feel like this was just mediocre songs (in the standard I have set 5sos to) kinda thrown together

#not that its horrible. but a lot of the songs are really forgettable and not stuff that hits. and theres no flow from song to song #i only really liked wishful dreaming on first listen and its a bonus track not even on the main album #not okay is good too especially for a pre release but then the rest of the songs dont hold up as well which sucks #i'm sure they'll grow on me if i give the album another listen or two but i like when songs hit first listen lol
