Hudson Williams opening the Dsquared2 show means that people who know nothing about fashion are now learning about what fashion week shows look like. And this a good and bad thing.

It’s good because it means that more people are seeing a new type of art for the first time and I love that the fashion community is that much bigger.

But if I see one more comment about the show “feeling so dystopian” or feeling bad for the twins even though they clearly aren’t struggling with carrying them. They’re models they signed up to do weird shit.

Is there commentary about fashion being eliteist and a classist community? Yes! But fashion is art and art can be weird.

I just found the earliest email I ever sent from my email address, and it’s the funniest goddamn thing I can possibly imagine a fourth grader sending her teacher:
