Hello; I wrote three book reports on @splitsider about some Michael O’Donoghue books from the late-60s/early-70s: The Incredible Thrilling Adventures of The Rock; The Adventures of Phoebe Zeit-Geist and The National Lampoon Encyclopedia of Humor, and because you are my BEST FRIEND, here are three images I scanned in that I didn’t end up using. For images I did end up using, you have no choice but to follow this link:

From imdb: ”During the filming of some scenes for The Princess Bride, the weather became markedly cold for Robin Wright Penn. Andre the Giant helped her by placing one of his hands over her head; his hands were so large that one would entirely cover the top of her head, keeping her warm.”

This is so sweet how can I NOT reblog this.
D’aaawwww.
All of the behind the scenes stories about Andre the Giant were adorable like this, Apparently Wallace Shawn is deathly afraid of heights, so he was freaking out while they were doing the scene scaling the cliff and Andre was like “it is okay, I’ll keep you safe.” there’s a behind the scenes thing on the DVD and everyone is choked up and misty eyed when they talk about working with him.
Andre the Giant was a radiant human being.
Oh gosh wow
Best
Hey everyone! I spent a couple of months earlier this year making an alternate-world Facebook, and it is now live at thedatadrive.com. Think of it like The Printed Internet’s post-cancellation miniseries. I have a lot more to say, and will say it later, when I am not at work. For now, just know that this could not have existed without Useless Press, a new publishing collective that creates “eclectic Internet things.” Thank you to Adrian Chen, Alix Rule, and Sam Lavigne–Sam being the genius who turned my inert collages into an actual navigable website. I’ll be posting excerpts throughout the day. That’s all!

Now I want you to tell me just one thing more. Why do you hate the South?
‘I dont hate it,’ Quentin said, quickly, at once, immediately; ‘I dont hate it,’ he said. I don’t hate it he thought, panting in the cold air, the iron New England dark: I dont. I dont! I dont hate it! I dont hate it!’
