i live in chile (sudamerica) the show arthur isnt a big deal here like is in the usa ,is dubbed and know, but it wasent as popular ,but this is amazing .

I knew this by tumblr and how (sadly) the episode wasent show in some states

(something as a latina i dont live cause here in latam we have little censorship in lgbtq+ representation)(we had the original sailor moon for example with no censorship ) 

in my opinion i think is so important to teach kids to respect at an early age and make kids of lgbt+ parents feel included and good of their families .

They found a Persona frontend exposed to the open internet on a US government authorized server

“In 2,456 publicly accessible files, the code revealed the extensive surveillance Persona software performs on its users, bundled in an interface that pairs facial recognition with financial reporting”

If these things are true, than persona is

"I don't want to switch to yet another platform that will repeat it all again in another two years" nor do I! I don't want to leave the 5+ years of chat history I have with my friends. I don't want to go somewhere the people I haven't spoken to in years who want to reach out can't find me. I don't want to get used to a new UI that's probably worse than discord's.

But I also can't just throw away my privacy. I can't just give my face to people who will turn it over to hostile law enforcement the second they're asked to(that's if it doesn't end up in a data breach first). I can't just accept that the chat program I use to text ny friends is collecting enough information about me to accurately guess my age, and who knows what else.

And for the people saying "well it only affects NSFW stuff so you don't even have to verify if you don't want to": 1) I use discord for NSFW stuff, many people do. 2) Why is that not important? 3) What is the definition of NSFW you're using? Is it the same as discord's will be in a year from now? What's stopping discord from including depictions of trans people(and lets be realistic, trans women specifically) in their definition of adult content like tumblr does?

And no, you're not "doing nothing" by leaving a hostile platform. The only thing a company like discord cares about is money. The two ways you make them money is by paying for nitro, or by inflating usage numbers they show to investors at advertisers. Leaving is the only way to tell them "no, I am not okay with this, you are not going to make money from me". Staying says "i don't actually care enough to stop giving you money".

Sorry, kind of a rant, saw a post that probably pissed me off more than it should. Was gonna go into how platforms like matrix are less vulnerable to stuff like this because of decentralization, but don't have the energy for it.

It took me 15 minutes to fill their forms and be a little shit while I was at it. When you have the chance (do it now actually) and your against this whole age verification ID bullshit that discord recently announced for global push, bully them!!! Make your voices heard that you do NOT want this (And also while your at it while filling out the forms, please do call them out about how weird and creepy this is about how they want to hire minors and ask for their addresses in google forms cuz WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
