what got you into torture? have you ever been tortured? when is the right time to employ torture? are you a sadist?

‘’Well, I kinda realized was good at making people spill the beans. The best time is when they least expect it. I’ll leave that last one up to interpretation.’’

Ocelot folded his hands together, linking his gloved fingers into each other as he pondered the question. 

“Torture is not always a punishment.” he said, firmly. “Yes, it can be used as one, but in that case, it’s no longer really about getting information.” he shook his head.

“What I’m saying is, regardless of how it looked, I did not torture him needlessly. He needed incentive to cooperate with Big Boss. There were things he was hiding from us that needed to be known. So no, he did not have to physically ‘do anything wrong’  he was hiding something from me. From Big Boss.”

Ocelot brought his hand to his forehead, and sighed, rubbing his temples. 

“I know- the soldier stereotype of not being allowed to question what you’re doing- to do things without questioning them. I don’t believe in that. Stronger soldiers know what they’re doing and why. But I do believe that you shouldn’t be questioning me- as it’s simply between myself and Big Boss.”
