Trying to finish this for my parents 25th wedding anniversary.
Some people build worlds - I'm building a Universe.
These passed two weeks have been super productive. If I wasnt out spending time with my Husband; I was either at my computer updating the Adventure Photography page of my website or working on one of these. The "Blueprints" for Characters I'm writing stories about.
Now, the full images are 22x30 drawn on Bristol Vellum paper using #prismacolor pencils. The images you see here are just a segment of the full work. Once I've completed these in ink and digital paintings I'll have them available to purchase as prints on my website.
Stay tuned for updates!

Several years ago, I went to New Orleans for a wedding. I went a week prior in order to get a week to explore this beautiful place with so much history. Visited a plantation and it was such an educational experience. Deeply sad and disturbing to think about the oppression and hopelessness in every name of a slave that suffered and died there.
I took all these and used my Copper540 filter on them.
After going to see the new Final Destination movie (was actually an ok movie, lots of head shots). We walked around an event happening right in downtown Petaluma. In honor of American Graffiti there was a car show. Some of these would've been part of the cruising culture of the 50s. If you've never seen American Graffiti its a fun movie to see.
Since I love older cars and some of these were out of this world, I used my Jupiter filter on them.
Highlights from my trip to Sculptured Beach. Will anyone see these? Who knows.... I seem to be posting these into the ether on Tumblr... oh well...
Beauty can be found in anything, if you just look around.
Slowly but surely, I built my own little bit of paradise.
Taken today after coffee with a friend.
Layers and overlays in plain sight
Something to remember
The "United" States is not the world.
What they do can affect the world, but the world doesn't need to follow its example to be successful.
Look at any other nations where the happiness index is higher and clearly see that their model is not the same as the U.S.
The hubris of the U.S. over it's role in the world is perceivably overblown.
If the rest of the world chose, it could begin to block the U.S. from resources and aid very easily. It could demand that U.S. troops leave military bases at their countries. As well as embassies. It could deny travel to U.S. citizens to their nations, pull partnerships in legal and infrastructure projects. Other countries could ask their citizens to stop shopping at American owned places.
You can already see that starting. Canada and Mexico are starting to, and I think they'd be wise to ask their global partners to do the same.
The U.S. is only powerful because we allow it to be. It requires the permission of the public to be so. The public could turn the tide if they came together and worked towards adjusting U.S. thinking.
Right now, Russia has favor with the U.S. They're working hard to make the U.S. into Russia 2.0. Doesn't need to happen, but the world has to act.
Act accordingly.
As I complete my Orchestral Suite for a story I'm writing. I'm also working on character paintings/studies. Heroes and Villains.
Once I'm done I'll post a link to the art page where prints of the paintings will be avaliable for purchase.
I'm always curious about things. Sometimes it's astrophysics, sometimes it's cooking, today I looked up this weird random curiosity. Make of it what you will, I learned something.
If there's a March or any marches in D.C. I think every protester should carry a copy of the constitution in the pocket. When the march heats up, hold it above your head as you shout "through history we earned the rights!"
What's a book written by a woman that changed your life or that you consider a classic? Any genre, any language.
Reposting so I can come back and make a list of books to get.
