herbert was way too happy in the beginning of bride, he was even excited to show dan his little eye puppy. its a drastic change from the herbert in the first movie and it implies that, some time after the massacre, during or after peru, and before dan announced he was moving out, herbert started opening up more to him and stopped feeling the need to mask.
