Are You Targeting the right People?
The article I was reading really hit home to me about who we are marketing to. Should we be trying to sell our relatives, our neighbors? Maybe. So the questions should include what are you trying to sell. If you are using the product you can talk about how it is helping you. Maybe a neighbor has some illness this would be good for or a relative. So I'd say Yes show it to your friends ONLY if you are using it and can talk about the benefits. In that case, you are not selling the business, you are sharing the products and helping them get the products for a great price. When they like it you can show them the business. But to try and sell the Business to your relatives and Neighbors might be a mistake.
Not Targeting the Right People
This is one area network marketing companies do their reps wrong. Nearly all the companies I’ve come across stress that newbies make a list of 100 people they know, and pitch them the product and/or business. Or they suggest targeting everyone standing within 3 feet of you.
The problem with this is that it can waste time and create discouragement faster than doing traditional business building tasks. Not everyone is a prospect. If you were to start a business from scratch, you might let your friends and family know what you’re doing, but if you’re a smart business person, you’re going to identify your target market and pitch them.
I’ve talked to many successful network marketers, and some have recruited friends and family, but the majority of their business is from people they didn’t know when they started. Further, many of the friends and family didn’t join until they saw the network marketer’s success. Instead of worrying about the list of 100 or striking up a conversation for the purpose of selling to the guy standing behind you in the grocery checkout, I suggest you determine who wants what you’ve got and market to them. It’s easier, less time consuming, and less likely to alienate friends and family.
(my 2 cents worth) So if you are selling the business lets all think about where we need to be marketing this? We need to find people looking for something to supplement their income, but now someone who needs to make a living instantly. We need to find people who already have experience in the network marketing business, ( they will see the real value of having a better business, a better product, and better support). Maybe classifieds, blogs, job sites, network marketing sites etc.
That is why Facebook is a great place to start, Newspaper ads, Local bulletin boards, social events where you can meet other business people, job sites, Don't forget the postcards.
Oh and by the way, did you listen to the latest conference call, are you making it a point to listen every week. (Eat The Frog).

So let's concentrate on daily activities. We need to concentrate on the activities that products results and stop doing the activities that do not. We all have things we like to do only and they take a lot of time, It would be hard if someone said to stop doing the activities I like. But the truth is we have procrastinated and do what we like first and hope we have time to do what we need.
If you want to be successful that needs to change for all of us. We all need to make a list of daily activities that create results towards building a better team. Then when you have the list we need to do the activities that produce results First thing every day. If you work from home this should be the first thing we do every day, if this is a part-time business then it needs to be the first thing we do when we got done with our regular job Don't relax with what you like to do until the necessary things are finished.
Have you ever heard of "Eat the Frog". It is a great book about procrastination. Buy doing what we know we need to know but don't want to dd (First Thing in the morning) we are Eating the Frog.

Find an Edge
Find a way to advertise it that no one else is using.
Advertise an aspect that no one else is sharing * Such as advertising the Business not the product * Advertise the Weight Loss products which is how Michael Swilling built his whole business
And Everyone needs to have Lead Capture page. if you do not you are waste a lot of your efforts. If someone comes to your site and does not sign up right away you have no way to go back and talk to them. With a Lead Capture page you can set up autoresponders to get back to them automatically over and over. Dramatically improve your chances of convincing them.

There is more to network marketing than posting on Facebook.. Try Postcards... Try sharing 15 business cards every day....
How about yard signs... Bumper stickers... Magnetic signs on your car. Bulletin Boards around town.
Get a booth at the local fair, local events, town meetings. How about Classified ads in print and online. How committed are you? Ready to do what others won’t?
Did you eat the Frog Today?
How many like eating a frog? No, Noone, But if you eat the frog everything else you do the rest of the way will be easy. The idea is to do what is you the difficult, do the list of required things you need to do every day first thing. Then do what you like to do.
Do what you need to do for your marketing today, then take care of your voice messages, your emails, your texts, your google searches... etc.
Do this and you will succeed.

Turn Cold Leads into warms Leads
