NO TIME LEFT TO SAVE A PREGNANT WOMAN AND A CANCER PATIENT IN GAZA

I've been in regular contact with Laila @lailashaqoura and she's asked me to help spread her family's fundraisers. The first belongs to her immediate family, the second to her extended family, who her cousins Tala @talanassar and Rahaf @rahaf3nassar0 have been helping to spread, and the third belongs to a relative of hers, represented on tumblr by @haifaaziz98. The situation in Gaza is incredibly dire, food and clean water are running out where they aren't already gone, and there is no medical care for Laila's pregnant mother or for Tala's mother, who has breast cancer. Today is supposed to be a holiday, but instead they suffer. We have already waited too long, we need to get this family every bit of help we can. If you have any money to spare at all, any extra purchases you can cut out (buying coffee drinks when you have food at home, video games you wanted to buy, etc.) please send that money instead to a family struggling to escape genocide, and do whatever you can to share these fundraisers as far as you can, either on tumblr or on other social media. I understand how your faith in mutual aid can be shaken after so long, but your participation in this, either financially or socially, does matter. Families have escaped genocide because of the spreading of fundraisers. As @stuckinapril put it, these fundraisers are not just window dressing, they are the window itself. These fundraisers are the lifelines of Palestinians attempting to flee death and begin their lives again. Anything you can do to help matters. If it incentivizes you any, I'm offering artwork in exchange for donations to Laila and her family, examples below the cut. Ok this has been bothering me very much ever since I started REwatching Atla recently.And I pray to god that SOMEONE at least ONE PERSON from the Atla team sees this and takes into consideration.I would really appreciate it because I love Atla and I want the best for it and the new live action version I am very excited for:

When I first started watching Atla years ago around like 2014 or 15 I absolutely loved it.Me and my little brother loved it but I ended up forgetting about the show and stopped watching it.And now that it has just came out on Netflix recently I’ve been watching it all over again because I loved the show and and I hadn’t watched it in so long.But as I rewatch it I begin to do what I usually do when I enter a series I’m intrigued by.

Ship and establish my set of characters I adore.

This repost isn’t about me raging about some stupid ships it’s mainly to Bryke or Bryan when it comes to his actions.Harmless advice.And a little criticizem here and there.Now I may not know everything and I’m sure as heck not apart of the Atla team to talk so I can see a lot of people getting angry at me for trying to “act like I know everything” but let’s just be honest here,I don’t.I don’t know what goes on Behind the scenes of Atla and I’m certainly not the one to tell or judge.But please think about this small post out of millions.

As I’m rewatching Atla I’m already getting the beautiful nostalgia of the show I used to watch on nicolodeon when I was younger.As I’m approaching season 2 of the show I begin shipping like any person that likes seeing potential realationships in content.What I do is that I take two characters who seem to have a deep connection,friendly rivalry,or even constant purposely suggestive/Joking remarks like flirting or friendly teasing and I see the two as a pair or couple.

So that’s what I did with Aang and Katara and Then I did it with Katara and Zuko.

I know and I’m sure Bryke and some of the Atla team are probably tired of hearing these types of things but you should really take into consideration for a better future for Atla.And NO I Do NOT mean add something in the show to make me happy (even thought that it’s self is impeccable)What I mean is how you carry this show.

When I imagined aang and Katara as a couple I thought it was cute.Aang having a crush on Katara was adorable and funny.Although,Aang is only 12 and Katara is a teenager.Seeing them as a married couple was hard to vision.And on top of that,having KIDS.Of course there comes a time in life where we all grow up learn about the birds and the bees and have children of our own,that happens to 90% of everybody but that’s not what I find unsettling here.

What I find unsettling is them having a romantic realationship because throughout the whole series it shows Aang having a crush on her like a kid with a self proclaimed “hot” babysitter,and that is totally fine and I think it’s cute to add that,but Katara on her end shows no real feeling for Aang in that way.We can see she cares for Aang obviously but she doesn’t show any romantic interest in him.Plus the fact she fell for Jet at one point who is of her age,it’s just kind of weird for her to like a kid like that.My friend was the same age as Aang when someone around Katara’s age at 15 years old took advantage of her and the age difference is what really kills me.

I don’t worry I understand it’s only a 2 year gap but that gap is supposed to be taken seriously.Aang and Katara are like a 16 year old and an 18 year old Which is illegal.Im not saying that there ship is tarnished due to the age difference but it sure is something to think about,plus they are obviously more of a little brother/older sister realationship despite Aang’s harmless crush.

Moving on to Zutara or Zuko x Katara

The more I seen the two interact I thought nothing of it to be completely honest.I didn’t even think for a second about Zuko and Katara being together,but I did think it would be a great plot twist if it happened.But once Zuko said “I’ll save you from the pirates” My heart exploded.Im sure you’ve probably heard of this before but once that happened I seen their realationship spark before my eyes,maybe like how you saw Aang and Katara or Sokka and Yue.However you see it.

But ultimately,I seen nothing wrong with Zutara and I instantly loved it,but:

The fact Zuko is prince of the fire Nationa nd has been trying all this time to capture Aang for his own benefits is an obstacle.Zuko had been against them all this time but he then Comes to his senses and joined them.

He has done bad things but Katara trusted him before anyone else did and I found that beautiful.And I think it was a key thing in their realationship.The fact Katara saw good in him before anyone else did.And even when the related and vented to eachother in the cave scene.They had so much chemistry.

That is why I like Zutara.Dont get me wrong I support Kataang but it’s kind of awkward in my opinion.

Now here are something that I hope you can address Bryke.These things in particular I find as an insult and I’m being as kind as a Zutara fan could be,any other probably would just have a paragraph of hate lol

The book 4 incident:

I liked the book 4 parody I thought it was funny.But the last part at the end kind of made me feel upset.I don’t mind people being entitled to their opinion or their ship,but this in particular did not help my view on you though.

At the end of the parody,There is Kataang 4 ever.Ofcourse the Atla team probably didn’t make that their selves but there was no reason for putting that at the very end like it was the message.It really made others like Zutara fans or even Zaang fans inferior.Like their ship didn’t matter.It really made me upset NOT because I was a Zutara shipper but because I’ve heard of your biased opinion on Kataang and all the things you’ve done just to keep the Kataang ship sailing and ruining the unique-ness of shipping for everyone.

Most writers or creators welcome all ships and don’t judge.Of course they are allowed to have their own opinions its THEIR characters that they made!But if Jeff Kaplan made something like book 4 he wouldn’t put something like Reaper76 is the best or some childish phrase that rubs into whomever disagrees’ face.Kaplan even said that he’s always surprised to see the ships the internet comes up with that always are better than what he or the Overwatch team can think of.I highly doubt that’d You would say that about any ship when it comes to Kataang considering it’s your biased OTP.

There is absolutely Nothing wrong with having an OTP and being biased about it but that does NOT mean to shove it in everyone’s face.You are supposed to treat all ships equally because at the end of the day that’s people’s opinions.And if someone where to say something like “ew no Kataang is disgusting what were you thinking what the f*ck?”You can’t tell me that you wouldn’t be angry or feeling bad about your opinion being hated upon.Thats how others feel when you entitle your biased opinion.

There is a difference in Sharing your ship with others and just making something that basically mocks others of their ships/Opinons.And it’s obvious which one you did.

On top of that at the very end after the “Kataang 4 ever!!” You put “Thanks for All of the fan art Throughout the years!”Which would be harmless and kind of you and Mike if you hadn’t constantly change the All to something offensive,Like “Some” or “Most”.I wonder if the fanart that you didn’t approve of was Somthing that didn’t sit well with your entitled OTP.

Yet again,This couldn’t ALL be your fault.I could understand if you didn’t do any of the editing and you didn’t intend on adding the “Kataang 4 ever!!” At the end but there was “Mike & Bryan” at he bottom of the half effort thank you message.And I could only imagine that you approved of it.

This is ANOTHER thing I have to complain about Bryke.And I think you need to come to your senses about this.

In the beginning it was planned for Katara to end up with nobody,but then was later changed in Katara being planned to end up with Zuko.It was revealed to everyone that Zuko was supposed to be Katara’s love Interest.But when someone asked you of it Mike says: “Sorry to disappoint the "Zutara" fans out there, but we never intended for Zuko and Katara to get together. Maybe we're just sentimental, but we always had a soft spot in our hearts for "Kataang".”

And you Bryan, Say: “Zuko and Katara might have shared some sparks, but sometimes there are people along your "journey of love" who are there to teach you about yourself and what you really need, but don't necessarily end up being your partner. Come on, kids! "Zutara" never would have lasted! It was just dark and intriguing.”

Let me get this straight;Maiko isn’t “Dark and Intriguing” at all but Zutara IS?Zuko and Katara I UNDERSTAND eachother.Katara listens to Zuko and tries to comfort him while Mai acts like she could care LESS.Honestly I don’t see how anyone could support that ship,Because it’s litterally a toxic realationship animated considering she says “I don’t care about your feelings,let’s kiss.”Some girlfriend am I right?

And don’t even get me started on lying in your interview!You mentioned Zutara was never thought upon when Multiple staff members have considered It and wanted it to happen along with probably thousands of fans.

You have lied and pushed your entitled biased OTP into the show.Im not saying that it ruined the whole show but for some others IT DID.Im trying my best to be as nice and professional about this but it’s HARD when someone like you that has written great shows and other projects has the audacity to abuse other’s opinions for your own benefit.For what YOU want.Not to mention the time you said Any woman who ships Zutara will have a horrible realationship or whatever.

You CANNOT tell me that that’s not you being a hater on Zutara.Listen you and maybe some others might want A hero saving the world,not learning anything about his actions,and just taking the “prize”(Katara)But others DONT.Think about what others want for once.

The whole purpose of your show is to entertain people!And your doing what you want!If nobody supported Kataang,I can still see it happening because YOU wanted it.I stead of thinking of the people.of course it’s your show and you do what you want for the best of the show because that’s how you visioned it but you have to let others have their share too.l to ensure the show’s future.

They way I see it you just took over from season 3 and screwed it over with that ending.I just hope and pray to god it won’t happen again.

I’m not saying have a Zutara ending.Im saying give the people what the want EQUALLY.Have a little Kataang here and there and then I don’t know Some Zutara.Instaead of people being upset about Zuko having Katara or Aang having Katara in the end JUST let her BE.I don’t know but that ending was the worst part of Avatar I’m just going to be real with you.

People can backlash me all the want but I’ve been speaking all of the truthful things I could say.This is ridiculous.How old are you?Bryan you are so CHILDISH.

I hope someone comes to their senses from the team and takes this into consideration.I apologize if I afeended you,all I’m trying to do is get my point across.
